Brisbane Pally Perunnal (Feast of St. George) at St. George Indian Orthodox Church

St. George Indian Orthodox Church in Brisbane is celebrating the Feast of St. George (Pally Perunnal) on May 10-11, 2025. This grand occasion will bring the community together for a series of prayers, processions, and cultural events in honour of St. George.

The entire Perunnal is being celebrated with the blessings of His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Mathews III and H.G. Dr. Yuhanon Mar Diaskoros, Metropolitan, the Diocesan Assistant Metropolitan.

Event Highlights:

May 10, 2025 – Saturday:

6:30 PM: Evening Prayer
7:15 PM: Memorial Speech by Fr. Shinu Cherian
7:45 PM: Procession
8:15 PM: Benediction and Dinner

May 11, 2025 – Sunday:

7:30 AM: Morning Prayer
8:30 AM: Holy Tri-mass, led by Fr. Liju Samuel, Fr. Jacks Jacob, and Fr. Mathew K Mathew
10:00 AM: Procession and Benediction
10:45 AM: Harvest Festival
1:00 PM: Lunch

The event will be spiritually guided by Fr. Mathew K Mathew, Fr. Shinu Cherian, Fr. Jacks Jacob, and Fr. Liju Samuel, with their participation in the services and celebrations.
