About Divyabodhanam
Divyabodhanam is the official theological training programme for the laity of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. It was established in 1984 under the leadership of H.H. Baselios Marthoma Mathews I, following the vision of H.G. Dr. Paulose Mar Gregorios Metropolitan, Principal of the Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kottayam.
The programme equips lay members with a deeper understanding of:

History of Divyabodhanam
Divyabodhanam was officially inaugurated on 28 July 1984 as a theological education programme for the laity of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.
The vision for this movement was conceived by the renowned theologian, philosopher and spiritual leader Late H.G. Dr. Paulose Mar Gregorios Metropolitan, whose commitment to theological education laid the foundation for one of the Church’s most significant lay education initiatives.
Recognising its importance, H.H. Baselios Marthoma Didymos I Catholicos declared Divyabodhanam a spiritual movement of the Church through Kalpana No. 138/2009, affirming its role in nurturing knowledgeable, faithful and committed members of the Church.
Today, Divyabodhanam continues to flourish through the guidance of the Orthodox Theological Seminary and the dedicated efforts of clergy, professors and volunteers across the world.
