OVBS 2025 Day 2 Highlights & Rev. Fr. Jacks Jacob’s Visit | St. George Indian Orthodox Church Brisbane
OVBS 2025 Day 2: Faith, Fellowship, and Special Visitor

Brisbane, September 26, 2025 – The Orthodox Vacation Bible School (OVBS) 2025 at St. George Indian Orthodox Church, Brisbane continued with another exciting and enriching day. Day 2 unfolded with the theme “Walk in Purity” (Psalms 119:9) continuing to inspire children, as they arrived in green attire to join in the day’s activities.

The day began with prayers, devotional songs, and interactive Bible lessons, allowing children to deepen their understanding of Scripture. With lively discussions and faith-based teachings, the children connected the biblical stories to their daily lives.

The fun continued throughout the day with creative art sessions, games, and the much-anticipated puppet show, which brought the faith to life in a joyful and entertaining manner. The children also enjoyed singing sessions and further opportunities to develop their creativity and teamwork.

A very special moment for the community was the arrival of Rev. Fr. Jacks Jacob, former vicar of St. George Indian Orthodox Church and current Council member for the Diocese of Asia Pacific Malankara Orthodox Church (Indian). Rev. Fr. Jacks Jacob will be visiting our church from Friday, 26th September 2025, to Sunday, 28th September 2025, and he will be celebrating the Holy Qurabana on Sunday. His visit is a blessing for the community, and everyone warmly welcomed our beloved Achan with open hearts.

The sense of community was palpable, as many parents generously volunteered their time and resources, preparing food for the children and helping out in various activities. The spirit of giving and cooperation continues to be a highlight of OVBS 2025, making it an event of shared faith and fellowship.

Looking Ahead

As OVBS Day 3 approaches, the excitement continues to grow. Day 3 will begin at 9:00 AM on Sunday, 28th September, and the children are invited to dress in maroon for the day. The festivities will culminate with the Holy Qurabana led by Rev. Fr. Jacks Jacob, making it a truly blessed day.
