OVBS 2025 Finale: Holy Qurabana, Rally & Celebration | St. George Indian Orthodox Church Brisbane

Brisbane, September 28, 2025 – The Orthodox Vacation Bible School (OVBS) 2025 at St. George Indian Orthodox Church, Brisbane concluded on a spiritually uplifting note with the Holy Qurabana, OVBS Rally, and closing celebrations. Families, children, and volunteers gathered to mark the successful end of the three-day program, themed “Walk in Purity” (Psalms 119:9).

The day began with prayers and devotional songs, creating a reflective and joyful atmosphere. Children actively participated in Bible lessons, creative activities, and interactive storytelling, bringing the lessons of faith to life in fun and meaningful ways.

A highlight of the finale was the Holy Qurabana celebrated by Rev. Fr. Jacks Jacob, former vicar of St. George Indian Orthodox Church and Council member for the Diocese of Asia Pacific Malankara Orthodox Church. Children and families joined in the service, experiencing a spiritually enriching celebration together.

Following the Holy Qurabana, the children and volunteers took part in the OVBS Rally, a lively procession around the church campus showcasing the theme of the program, songs, and joyful participation by all. The rally brought energy and excitement, creating a memorable end to the festivities.

After the rally, a delicious lunch was served to all attendees, prepared by the dedicated volunteers and parents, allowing everyone to enjoy fellowship and celebrate the success of OVBS 2025 together.

The program also featured a closing ceremony, recognising the contributions of volunteers, parents, and teachers. Children were awarded certificates of participation, leaving the church filled with laughter, joy, and treasured memories.
