🎶 “Raga Sandhya (An Evening of Ragas)” – A Night of Melody and Togetherness in Brisbane 🎶

Brisbane, QLD – October 2025:
The St. George Indian Orthodox Church, Brisbane (SGIOC Brisbane) is set to host a vibrant musical evening titled “Raga Sandhya (An Evening of Ragas)”, presented by the St. Dionysius Orthodox Fellowship (SDOF). The event promises a soulful night of live music and karaoke, celebrating the beauty of Indian classical and contemporary melodies.

The program will take place on Friday, October 24, beginning at 5:30 PM, at 479 Mt Petrie Road, Mackenzie. Entry to the event is free, and refreshments will be available for purchase.

This unique gathering aims to bring together music enthusiasts, families, and community members for an evening filled with rhythm, harmony, and joy. Organisers are inviting singers from all SGIOC Brisbane spiritual organisations to participate. With limited performance spots, early registration is encouraged to secure a place in the lineup.

The official event poster for “Raga Sandhya (An Evening of Ragas)” was launched on Sunday, 5th October 2025, after the Holy Qurbana, by the Vicar, Rev. Fr. Anish Mathew, marking the beginning of the event’s celebrations and preparations.

During the launch, Rev. Fr. Anish Mathew spoke warmly about the abundant musical gifts within the SGIOC Brisbane community, saying that “there are so many blessed talents in our church, and I have witnessed their beautiful voices and devotion during our prayer meetings.” He encouraged everyone to come forward and share their God-given talents through this musical evening.

The event will feature a captivating blend of traditional ragas, devotional songs, and popular melodies, performed by talented members of the local community.
