Special Prayer for Year 12 Students | Rev. Fr. Anish Mathew | St George Indian Orthodox Church Brisbane

On Sunday, 19 October 2025, the St George Indian Orthodox Church, Brisbane held a special prayer service led by Rev. Fr. Anish Mathew for the Year 12 students preparing to sit for their final examinations.

The service brought together families, parish members, and students in a heartfelt moment of prayer and reflection. A total of 12 students received special blessings and words of encouragement from Fr. Anish, who reminded them that faith, perseverance, and God’s guidance are the keys to success.

In his address, Fr. Anish spoke about the importance of trusting in God’s plan and maintaining peace of mind during times of pressure. The congregation joined together to pray for each student — asking for wisdom, focus, and courage as they enter a new chapter in their lives.

Following the prayer, the students were presented with small tokens of blessing and encouragement from the church community. The service concluded with fellowship and light refreshments, celebrating the unity and support within the parish family.
