St. George Indian Orthodox Church Brisbane Announces SDOF Office Bearers 2025-2026

Brisbane, Australia – March 28, 2025 – The St. George Indian Orthodox Church in Brisbane, along with the St. Dionysius Orthodox Fellowship (SDOF), proudly announced its new office bearers for the 2025-2026 term. The announcement was made under the spiritual guidance of His Grace Geevarghese Mar Philexinos Metropolitan, who continues to lead the fellowship with wisdom and dedication.

The newly elected team is set to steer the SDOF in its mission to foster spiritual growth, community engagement, and cultural preservation among the Indian Orthodox diaspora in Brisbane. Leading the fellowship as President is Fr. Liju Samuel, who will also oversee public relations and event organization. Supporting him as Secretary is Bijoy Mathew, with Dr. Boby Thomas serving as Joint Secretary.

The committee is further strengthened by dedicated members Tony Varghese, Veena Varghese, Abraham K. Varghese, Baiju Paul, Tinosh Kuriakose, and Laiju Joy. Each member brings a wealth of experience and commitment to their respective roles, ensuring the smooth functioning of the fellowship’s activities.

The SDOF also highlighted the contributions of its prayer groups, including the St. George Prayer Group, St. Mary’s Prayer Group, St. Gregorios Prayer Group, and St. Dionysius Prayer Group, which play a vital role in the spiritual life of the community.
