Thybooso 2025: Brisbane Lenten Retreat Unites Faithful in Prayer

Brisbane, 11 April 2025 – The St George Indian Orthodox Church in Brisbane was graced with a moving and spiritually uplifting evening as it hosted the 40th Friday Lenten Retreat, “Thybooso 2025,” organised by the MMVS (Martha Mariam Vanitha Samajam).

Held on the evening of 11 April 2025 at 6:30pm, the event brought together members of the parish and broader community for a time of prayer, reflection, and fellowship. The devotional address was delivered by the esteemed Fr Jose Panampuzha CMI, whose powerful message inspired attendees to embrace unity in faith and deepen their Lenten commitments.

Set against a serene backdrop symbolising hope and renewal, the retreat served as a meaningful reminder of the season’s significance. Attendees appreciated the opportunity to pause and reconnect with their spiritual journey in the lead-up to Easter.
