³⁷On the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, a great multitude met him.

³⁸Behold, a man from the crowd called out, saying, “Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only born child.

³⁹Behold, a spirit takes him, he suddenly cries out, and it convulses him so that he foams; and it hardly departs from him, bruising him severely.

⁴⁰I begged your disciples to cast it out, and they couldn’t.”

⁴¹Jesus answered, “Faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here.”

⁴²While he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed him violently. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the boy, and gave him back to his father.

⁴³They were all astonished at the majesty of God.

⁴⁴“Let these words sink into your ears, for the Son of Man will be delivered up into the hands of men.”

⁴⁵But they didn’t understand this saying. It was concealed from them, that they should not perceive it, and they were afraid to ask him about this saying.

³⁷പിറ്റെന്നാൾ അവർ മലയിൽ നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങി വന്നപ്പോൾ ബഹുപുരുഷാരം അവനെ എതിരേറ്റു.

³⁸കൂട്ടത്തിൽനിന്നു ഒരാൾ നിലവിളിച്ചു: ഗുരോ, എന്റെ മകനെ കടാക്ഷിക്കേണമെന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ എനിക്കു ഏകജാതൻ ആകുന്നു.

³⁹ഒരാത്മാവു അവനെ പിടിച്ചിട്ടു അവൻ പൊടുന്നനവേ നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; അതു അവനെ നുരെപ്പിച്ചു പിടെപ്പിക്കുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവനെ ഞെരിച്ചിട്ടു പ്രയാസത്തോടെ വിട്ടുമാറുന്നു.

⁴⁰അതിനെ പുറത്താക്കുവാൻ നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു എങ്കിലും അവർക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁴¹അതിന്നു യേശു: അവിശ്വാസവും കോട്ടവുമുള്ള തലമുറയേ, എത്രത്തോളം ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു നിങ്ങളെ സഹിക്കും? നിന്റെ മകനെ ഇവിടെ കൊണ്ടുവരിക എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു;

⁴²അവൻ വരുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ ഭൂതം അവനെ തള്ളിയിട്ടു പിടെപ്പിച്ചു. യേശു അശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ ശാസിച്ചു ബാലനെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി, അപ്പനെ ഏല്പിച്ചു.

⁴³എല്ലാവരും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹിമയിങ്കൽ വിസ്മയിച്ചു.

⁴⁴യേശു ചെയ്യുന്നതിൽ ഒക്കെയും എല്ലാവരും ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ അവൻ തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ഈ വാക്കു ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു കേട്ടുകൊൾവിൻ : മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുവാൻ പോകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ആ വാക്കു ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു കേട്ടുകൊൾവിൻ : മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുവാൻ പോകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁴⁵ആ വാക്കു അവർ ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല; അതു തിരിച്ചറിയാതവണ്ണം അവർക്കും മറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; ആ വാക്കു സംബന്ധിച്ചു അവനോടു ചോദിപ്പാൻ അവർ ശങ്കിച്ചു.

¹He arose from there and came into the borders of Judea and beyond the Jordan. Multitudes came together to him again. As he usually did, he was again teaching them.

²Pharisees came to him testing him, and asked him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”

³He answered, “What did Moses command you?”

⁴They said, “Moses allowed a certificate of divorce to be written, and to divorce her.”

⁵But Jesus said to them, “For your hardness of heart, he wrote you this commandment.

⁶But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female.

⁷For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife,

⁸and the two will become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.

⁹What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”

¹⁰In the house, his disciples asked him again about the same matter.

¹¹He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her.

¹²If a woman herself divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”

¹³They were bringing to him little children, that he should touch them, but the disciples rebuked those who were bringing them.

¹⁴But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation and said to them, “Allow the little children to come to me! Don’t forbid them, for God’s Kingdom belongs to such as these.

¹⁵Most certainly I tell you, whoever will not receive God’s Kingdom like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.”

¹⁶He took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.

¹അവിടെ നിന്നു അവൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടു യോർദ്ദാന്നക്കരെ യെഹൂദ്യദേശത്തിന്റെ അതിരോളം ചെന്നു; പുരുഷാരം പിന്നെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു കൂടി, പതിവുപോലെ അവൻ അവരെ പിന്നെയും ഉപദേശിച്ചു.

⁴ഉപേക്ഷണപത്രം എഴുതിക്കൊടുത്തു അവളെ ഉപേക്ഷിപ്പാൻ മോശെ അനുവദിച്ചു എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

⁵യേശു അവരോടു: നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയകാഠിന്യം നിമിത്തമത്രേ അവൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഈ കല്പന എഴുതിത്തന്നതു.

⁶സൃഷ്ടിയുടെ ആരംഭത്തിങ്കലോ ദൈവം അവരെ ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

⁷അതുകൊണ്ടു മനുഷ്യൻ അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും വിട്ടു ഭാര്യയോടു പറ്റിച്ചേരും;

⁸ഇരുവരും ഒരു ദേഹമായിത്തീരും; അങ്ങനെ അവർ പിന്നെ രണ്ടല്ല ഒരു ദേഹമത്രേ.

⁹ആകയാൽ ദൈവം യോജിപ്പിച്ചതിനെ മനുഷ്യൻ വേർപിരിക്കരുതു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

¹⁰വീട്ടിൽ വെച്ചു ശിഷ്യന്മാർ പിന്നെയും അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

¹¹അവൻ അവരോടു: ഭാര്യയെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു മറ്റൊരുത്തിയെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നവൻ അവൾക്കു വിരോധമായി വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

¹²സ്ത്രീയും ഭർത്താവിനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു മറ്റൊരുത്തനുമായി വിവാഹം കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

¹³അവൻ തൊടേണ്ടതിന്നു ചിലർ ശിശുക്കളെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ശിഷ്യന്മാരോ അവരെ ശാസിച്ചു.

¹⁴യേശു അതു കണ്ടാറെ മുഷിഞ്ഞു അവരോടു: ശിശുക്കളെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുവാൻ വിടുവിൻ ; അവരെ തടുക്കരുതു; ദൈവരാജ്യം ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരുടെതല്ലോ.

¹⁵ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ ശിശു എന്നപോലെ കൈക്കൊള്ളാത്തവൻ ആരും ഒരുനാളും അതിൽ കടക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

¹⁶പിന്നെ അവൻ അവരെ അണെച്ചു അവരുടെ മേൽ കൈ വെച്ചു, അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

³⁵“ ‘On the eighth day you shall have a solemn assembly. You shall do no regular work;

³⁶but you shall offer a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, a pleasant aroma to Yahweh: one bull, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without defect;

³⁷their meal offering and their drink offerings for the bull, for the ram, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the ordinance,

³⁸and one male goat for a sin offering, in addition to the continual burnt offering, with its meal offering, and its drink offering.

³⁹“ ‘You shall offer these to Yahweh in your set feasts—in addition to your vows and your free will offerings—for your burnt offerings, your meal offerings, your drink offerings, and your peace offerings.’ ”

⁴⁰Moses told the children of Israel according to all that Yahweh commanded Moses.

³⁵എട്ടാം ദിവസം നിങ്ങൾക്കു അന്ത്യയോഗം ഉണ്ടാകേണം; അന്നു സാമാന്യവേലയൊന്നും ചെയ്യരുതു.

³⁶എന്നാൽ യഹോവേക്കു സൌരഭ്യവാസനയായ ദഹനയാഗമായി ഒരു കാളയെയും ഒരു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും ഒരു വയസ്സു പ്രായമുള്ള ഊനമില്ലാത്ത ഏഴു കുഞ്ഞാടിനെയും ഹോമയാഗം കഴിക്കേണം.

³⁸നിരന്തരഹോമയാഗത്തിന്നും അതിന്റെ ഭോജനയാഗത്തിന്നും പാനീയയാഗങ്ങൾക്കും പുറമെ പാപയാഗത്തിന്നായിട്ടു ഒരു കോലാട്ടുകൊറ്റനും വേണം.

³⁹ഇവയെ നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ നേർച്ചകളും സ്വമേധാദാനങ്ങളുമായ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങൾക്കും ഭോജനയാഗങ്ങൾക്കും പാനീയയാഗങ്ങൾക്കും പുറമെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉത്സവങ്ങളിൽ യഹോവേക്കു അർപ്പിക്കേണം.

⁴⁰യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതു ഒക്കെയും മോശെ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

²²Solomon stood before Yahweh’s altar in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven;

²³and he said, “Yahweh, the God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above, or on earth beneath; who keeps covenant and loving kindness with your servants who walk before you with all their heart;

²⁴who has kept with your servant David my father that which you promised him. Yes, you spoke with your mouth, and have fulfilled it with your hand, as it is today.

²⁵Now therefore, may Yahweh, the God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father that which you have promised him, saying, ‘There shall not fail from you a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your children take heed to their way, to walk before me as you have walked before me.’

²⁶“Now therefore, God of Israel, please let your word be verified, which you spoke to your servant David my father.

²⁷But will God in very deed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens can’t contain you; how much less this house that I have built!

²⁸Yet have respect for the prayer of your servant and for his supplication, Yahweh my God, to listen to the cry and to the prayer which your servant prays before you today;

²⁹that your eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which you have said, ‘My name shall be there;’ to listen to the prayer which your servant prays toward this place.

³⁰Listen to the supplication of your servant, and of your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Yes, hear in heaven, your dwelling place; and when you hear, forgive.

²²അനന്തരം ശലോമോൻ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിൻ മുമ്പിൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സർവ്വസഭയുടെയും സമക്ഷത്തു നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു ആകാശത്തിലേക്കു കൈ മലർത്തി പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

²³യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാർക്കായി നിയമവും ദയയും പാലിക്കുന്ന നിന്നെപ്പോലെ മീതെ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും താഴെ ഭൂമിയിലും യാതൊരു ദൈവവും ഇല്ല.

²⁵ആകയാൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസനോടു: നീ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടന്നതുപോലെ നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം തങ്ങളുടെ വഴി സൂക്ഷിക്കമാത്രം ചെയ്താൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിപ്പാൻ നിനക്കു ഒരു പുരുഷൻ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇല്ലാതെവരികയില്ല എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതു നിവർത്തിക്കേണമേ.

²⁷എന്നാൽ ദൈവം യഥാർത്ഥമായി ഭൂമിയിൽ വസിക്കുമോ? സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും സ്വർഗ്ഗാധിസ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും നീ അടങ്ങുകയില്ലല്ലോ; പിന്നെ ഞാൻ പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിൽ അടങ്ങുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

²⁸എങ്കിലും എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അടിയൻ ഇന്നു തിരുമുമ്പിൽ കഴിക്കുന്ന നിലവിളയും പ്രാർത്ഥനയും കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അടിയന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയിലേക്കും യാചനയിലേക്കും തിരിഞ്ഞു കടാക്ഷിക്കേണമേ.

²⁹അടിയൻ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു കഴിക്കുന്ന പ്രാർത്ഥന കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ നാമം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുമെന്നു നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത സ്ഥലമായ ഈ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു രാവും പകലും തൃക്കൺപാർത്തരുളേണമേ,

³⁰ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്ന അടിയന്റെയും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും യാചന കേൾക്കേണമേ. നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കേൾക്കേണമേ; കേട്ടു ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ.

¹⁷When we had come to Jerusalem, the brothers received us gladly.

¹⁸The day following, Paul went in with us to James; and all the elders were present.

¹⁹When he had greeted them, he reported one by one the things which God had worked among the Gentiles through his ministry.

²⁰They, when they heard it, glorified God. They said to him, “You see, brother, how many thousands there are among the Jews of those who have believed, and they are all zealous for the law.

²¹They have been informed about you, that you teach all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children and not to walk after the customs.

²²What then? The assembly must certainly meet, for they will hear that you have come.

²³Therefore do what we tell you. We have four men who have taken a vow.

²⁴Take them and purify yourself with them, and pay their expenses for them, that they may shave their heads. Then all will know that there is no truth in the things that they have been informed about you, but that you yourself also walk keeping the law.

²⁵But concerning the Gentiles who believe, we have written our decision that they should observe no such thing, except that they should keep themselves from food offered to idols, from blood, from strangled things, and from sexual immorality.”

²⁶Then Paul took the men, and the next day purified himself and went with them into the temple, declaring the fulfillment of the days of purification, until the offering was offered for every one of them.

¹⁷യെരൂശലേമിൽ എത്തിപ്പോൾ സഹോദരന്മാർ ഞങ്ങളെ സന്തോഷത്തോട കൈക്കൊണ്ടു.

¹⁸പിറ്റെന്നു പൗലെസും ഞങ്ങളും യാക്കോബിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോയി; മൂപ്പന്മാരും എല്ലാം അവിടെ വന്നു കൂടി.

¹⁹അവൻ അവരെ വന്ദനം ചെയ്തു തന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷയാൽ ദൈവം ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ചെയ്യിച്ചതു ഔരോന്നായി വിവരിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

²¹മക്കളെ പരിച്ഛേദന ചെയ്യരുതു എന്നും നീ മര്യാദ അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കരുതു എന്നും നീ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിലുള്ള സകല യെഹൂദന്മാരോടും പറഞ്ഞു മോശെയെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകളവാൻ ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവർ നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു ധരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

²²ആകയാൽ എന്താകുന്നു വേണ്ടതു? നീവന്നിട്ടുണ്ടു എന്നു അവർ കേൾക്കും നിശ്ചയം.

²³ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നോടു ഈ പറയുന്നതു ചെയ്ക; നേർച്ചയുള്ള നാലു പുരുഷന്മാർ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഉണ്ടു.

²⁴അവരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു അവരോടുകൂടെ നിന്നെ ശുദ്ധിവരുത്തി അവരുടെ തല ക്ഷൗരം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു അവർക്കും വേണ്ടി ചെലവു ചെയ്ക; എന്നാൽ നിന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു കേട്ടതു ഉള്ളതല്ല എന്നും നീയും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെ ആചരിച്ചു ക്രമമായി നടക്കുന്നവൻ എന്നും എല്ലാവരും അറിയും.

²⁵വിശ്വസിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ജാതികളെ സംബന്ധിച്ചോ അവർ വിഗ്രഹാർപ്പിതവും രക്തവും ശ്വാസംമുട്ടിച്ചത്തതും പരസംഗവും മാത്രം ഒഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കേണം എന്നു വിധിച്ചു എഴുതി അയച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ.

²⁶അങ്ങനെ പൗലൊസ് ആ പുരുഷന്മാരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു പിറ്റെന്നാൾ അവരോടുകൂടെ തന്നെ ശുദ്ധിവരുത്തി ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ചെന്നു; അവരിൽ ഔരോരുത്തന്നുവേണ്ടി വഴിപാടു കഴിപ്പാനുള്ള ശുദ്ധീകരണകാലം തികഞ്ഞു എന്നു ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.

²¹For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom didn’t know God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe.

²²For Jews ask for signs, Greeks seek after wisdom,

²³but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Greeks,

²⁴but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God;

²⁵because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

²⁶For you see your calling, brothers, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, and not many noble;

²⁷but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world that he might put to shame the things that are strong.

²⁸God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that don’t exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist,

²⁹that no flesh should boast before God.

²¹ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്തിൽ ലോകം ജ്ഞാനത്താൽ ദൈവത്തെ അറിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവരെ പ്രസംഗത്തിന്റെ ഭോഷത്വത്താൽ രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദം തോന്നി.

²⁴ജാതികൾക്കു ഭോഷത്വവുമെങ്കിലും യെഹൂദന്മാരാകട്ടെ യവനന്മാരാകട്ടെ വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട ഏവർക്കും ദൈവശക്തിയും ദൈവജ്ഞാനവുമായ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ തന്നേ.

²⁵ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഭോഷത്വം മനുഷ്യരെക്കാൾ ജ്ഞാനമേറിയതും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ബലഹീനത മനുഷ്യരെക്കാൾ ബലമേറിയതും ആകുന്നു.

²⁶സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ വിളിയെ നോക്കുവിൻ : ലോകാഭിപ്രായപ്രകാരം ജ്ഞാനികൾ ഏറെയില്ല, ബലവാന്മാർ ഏറെയില്ല, കുലീനന്മാരും ഏറെയില്ല.

²⁷ജ്ഞാനികളെ ലജ്ജിപ്പിപ്പാൻ ദൈവം ലോകത്തിൽ ഭോഷത്വമായതു തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു; ബലമുള്ളതിനെ ലജ്ജിപ്പിപ്പാൻ ദൈവം ലോകത്തിൽ ബലഹീനമായതു തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു.

²⁸ഉള്ളതിനെ ഇല്ലായ്മയാക്കുവാൻ ദൈവം ലോകത്തിൽ കുലഹീനവും നികൃഷ്ടവുമായതും ഏതുമില്ലാത്തതും തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു;

²⁹ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ ഒരു ജഡവും പ്രശംസിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.

⁹I tell you, make for yourselves friends by means of unrighteous mammon, so that when you fail, they may receive you into the eternal tents.

¹⁰He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.

¹¹If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

¹²If you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?

¹³No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to one and despise the other. You aren’t able to serve God and Mammon.”

¹⁴The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they scoffed at him.

¹⁵He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts. For that which is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

¹⁶“The law and the prophets were until John. From that time the Good News of God’s Kingdom is preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.

¹⁷But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tiny stroke of a pen in the law to fall.

¹⁸“Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery. He who marries one who is divorced from a husband commits adultery.

¹²അന്യമായതിൽ വിശ്വസ്തരായില്ല എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു സ്വന്തമായതു ആർ തരും?

¹³രണ്ടു യജമാനന്മാരെ സേവിപ്പാൻ ഒരു ഭൃത്യന്നും കഴികയില്ല; അവൻ ഒരുവനെ പകെച്ചു മറ്റവനെ സ്നേഹിക്കും; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഒരുത്തനോടു പറ്റിച്ചേർന്നു മറ്റവനെ നിരസിക്കും. നിങ്ങൾക്കു ദൈവത്തെയും മമ്മോനെയും സേവിപ്പാൻ കഴികയില്ല.

¹⁵അവൻ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളെ തന്നേ മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ നീതീകരിക്കുന്നവർ ആകുന്നു; ദൈവമോ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം അറിയുന്നു; മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഉന്നതമായതു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ അറെപ്പത്രേ.

¹⁶ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെയും കാലം യോഹന്നാൻ വരെ ആയിരുന്നു; അന്നുമുതൽ ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ സുവിശേഷിച്ചുവരുന്നു; എല്ലാവരും ബലാൽക്കാരേണ അതിൽ കടപ്പാൻ നോക്കുന്നു.

¹⁷ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ ഒരു പുള്ളി വീണുപോകുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നതു എളുപ്പം.

¹⁸ഭാര്യയെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു മറ്റൊരുത്തിയെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഭർത്താവു ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചവളെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നവനും വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
