¹He also said to his disciples, “There was a certain rich man who had a manager. An accusation was made to him that this man was wasting his possessions.

²He called him, and said to him, ‘What is this that I hear about you? Give an accounting of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’

³“The manager said within himself, ‘What will I do, seeing that my lord is taking away the management position from me? I don’t have strength to dig. I am ashamed to beg.

⁴I know what I will do, so that when I am removed from management, they may receive me into their houses.’

⁵Calling each one of his lord’s debtors to him, he said to the first, ‘How much do you owe to my lord?’

⁶He said, ‘A hundred batos of oil.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.’

⁷Then he said to another, ‘How much do you owe?’ He said, ‘A hundred cors of wheat.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty.’

⁸“His lord commended the dishonest manager because he had done wisely, for the children of this world are, in their own generation, wiser than the children of the light.

⁹I tell you, make for yourselves friends by means of unrighteous mammon, so that when you fail, they may receive you into the eternal tents.

¹⁰He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.

¹¹If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

¹²If you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?

¹³No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to one and despise the other. You aren’t able to serve God and Mammon.”

²³Therefore the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.

²⁴When he had begun to settle, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents.

²⁵But because he couldn’t pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with his wife, his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

²⁶The servant therefore fell down and knelt before him, saying, ‘Lord, have patience with me, and I will repay you all!’

²⁷The lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him and forgave him the debt.

²⁸“But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him one hundred denarii, and he grabbed him and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’

²⁹“So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will repay you!’

³⁰He would not, but went and cast him into prison until he should pay back that which was due.

³¹So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were exceedingly sorry, and came and told their lord all that was done.

³²Then his lord called him in and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me.

³³Shouldn’t you also have had mercy on your fellow servant, even as I had mercy on you?’

³⁴His lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors until he should pay all that was due to him.

³⁵So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don’t each forgive your brother from your hearts for his misdeeds.”

¹⁸Joseph said to them the third day, “Do this, and live, for I fear God.

¹⁹If you are honest men, then let one of your brothers be bound in your prison; but you go, carry grain for the famine of your houses.

²⁰Bring your youngest brother to me; so will your words be verified, and you won’t die.”

²¹They said to one another, “We are certainly guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the distress of his soul, when he begged us, and we wouldn’t listen. Therefore this distress has come upon us.”

²²Reuben answered them, saying, “Didn’t I tell you, saying, ‘Don’t sin against the child,’ and you wouldn’t listen? Therefore also, behold, his blood is required.”

²³They didn’t know that Joseph understood them; for there was an interpreter between them.

²⁴He turned himself away from them, and wept. Then he returned to them, and spoke to them, and took Simeon from among them, and bound him before their eyes.

²⁵Then Joseph gave a command to fill their bags with grain, and to restore each man’s money into his sack, and to give them food for the way. So it was done to them.

²⁶They loaded their donkeys with their grain, and departed from there.

²⁷As one of them opened his sack to give his donkey food in the lodging place, he saw his money. Behold, it was in the mouth of his sack.

²⁸He said to his brothers, “My money is restored! Behold, it is in my sack!” Their hearts failed them, and they turned trembling to one another, saying, “What is this that God has done to us?”

²⁹They came to Jacob their father, to the land of Canaan, and told him all that had happened to them, saying,

³⁰“The man, the lord of the land, spoke roughly with us, and took us for spies of the country.

³¹We said to him, ‘We are honest men. We are no spies.

³²We are twelve brothers, sons of our father; one is no more, and the youngest is today with our father in the land of Canaan.’

³³The man, the lord of the land, said to us, ‘By this I will know that you are honest men: leave one of your brothers with me, and take grain for the famine of your houses, and go your way.

³⁴Bring your youngest brother to me. Then I will know that you are not spies, but that you are honest men. So I will deliver your brother to you, and you shall trade in the land.’ ”

³⁵As they emptied their sacks, behold, each man’s bundle of money was in his sack. When they and their father saw their bundles of money, they were afraid.

²to know wisdom and instruction;

³to receive instruction in wise dealing,

⁴to give prudence to the simple,

⁵that the wise man may hear, and increase in learning;

⁶to understand a proverb and parables,

⁷The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge,

⁸My son, listen to your father’s instruction,

⁹for they will be a garland to grace your head,

¹²“Listen to me, O Jacob,

¹³Yes, my hand has laid the foundation of the earth,

¹⁴“Assemble yourselves, all of you, and hear!

¹⁵I, even I, have spoken.

¹⁶“Come near to me and hear this:

²He said, “Brothers and fathers, listen. The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran,

³and said to him, ‘Get out of your land and away from your relatives, and come into a land which I will show you.’

⁴Then he came out of the land of the Chaldaeans and lived in Haran. From there, when his father was dead, God moved him into this land where you are now living.

⁵He gave him no inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on. He promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his offspring after him, when he still had no child.

²സഹോദരന്മാരും പിതാക്കന്മാരുമായ പുരുഷന്മാരേ, കേൾപ്പിൻ . നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ അബ്രാഹാം ഹാരനിൽ വന്നു പാർക്കും മുമ്പെ മെസൊപ്പൊത്താമ്യയിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ, തന്നേ തേജോമയനായ ദൈവം അവന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി:

³നിന്റെ ദേശത്തെയും നിന്റെ ചാർച്ചക്കാരെയും വിട്ടു ഞാൻ നിനക്കു കാണിച്ചു തരുന്ന ദേശത്തിലേക്കു ചെല്ലുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ അവൻ കല്ദായരുടെ ദേശം വിട്ടു ഹാരാനിൽ വന്നു പാർത്തു.

¹There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

²For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.

³For what the law couldn’t do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,

⁴that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

⁵For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

⁶For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace;

⁷because the mind of the flesh is hostile toward God, for it is not subject to God’s law, neither indeed can it be.

⁸Those who are in the flesh can’t please God.

⁹But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.

¹⁰If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

¹¹But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

¹അതുകൊണ്ടു ഇപ്പോൾ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിലുള്ളവർക്കും ഒരു ശിക്ഷാവിധിയും ഇല്ല.

²ജീവന്റെ ആത്മാവിന്റെ പ്രമാണം എനിക്കു പാപത്തിന്റെയും മരണത്തിന്റെയും പ്രമാണത്തിൽനിന്നു ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

³ജഡത്താലുള്ള ബലഹീനതനിമിത്തം ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്നു കഴിയാഞ്ഞതിനെ (സാധിപ്പാൻ ) ദൈവം തന്റെ പുത്രനെ പാപജഡത്തിന്റെ സാദൃശ്യത്തിലും പാപം നിമിത്തവും അയച്ചു, പാപത്തിന്നു ജഡത്തിൽ ശിക്ഷ വിധിച്ചു.

⁴ജഡത്തെയല്ല ആത്മാവിനെ അത്രേ അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കുന്ന നമ്മിൽ ന്യായ പ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ നീതി നിവൃത്തിയാകേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.

⁵ജഡസ്വഭാവമുള്ളവർ ജഡത്തിന്നുള്ളതും ആത്മസ്വഭാവമുള്ളവർ ആത്മാവിന്നുള്ളതും ചിന്തിക്കുന്നു.

⁶ജഡത്തിന്റെ ചിന്ത മരണം; ആത്മാവിന്റെ ചിന്തയോ ജീവനും സമാധാനവും തന്നേ.

⁷ജഡത്തിന്റെ ചിന്ത ദൈവത്തോടു ശത്രുത്വം ആകുന്നു; അതു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്നു കീഴ്പെടുന്നില്ല, കീഴ്പെടുവാൻ കഴിയുന്നതുമില്ല.

⁸ജഡസ്വഭാവമുള്ളവർക്കും ദൈവത്തെ പ്രസാദിപ്പിപ്പാൻ കഴിവില്ല.

⁹നിങ്ങളോ, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവു നിങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു എന്നു വരികിൽ ജഡസ്വഭാവമുള്ളവരല്ല ആത്മസ്വഭാവമുള്ളവരത്രേ, ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ആത്മാവില്ലാത്തവൻ അവന്നുള്ളവനല്ല.

¹⁰ക്രിസ്തു നിങ്ങളിൽ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലോ ശരീരം പാപംനിമിത്തം മരിക്കേണ്ടതെങ്കിലും ആത്മാവു നീതിനിമിത്തം ജീവനാകുന്നു .

¹¹യേശുവിനെ മരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്നു ഉയിർപ്പിച്ചവന്റെ ആത്മാവു നിങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിനെ മരണത്തിൽനിന്നു ഉയിർപ്പിച്ചവൻ നിങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന തന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെക്കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ മർത്യശരീരങ്ങളെയും ജീവിപ്പിക്കും.

²³He was going on the Sabbath day through the grain fields; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of grain.

²⁴The Pharisees said to him, “Behold, why do they do that which is not lawful on the Sabbath day?”

²⁵He said to them, “Did you never read what David did when he had need and was hungry—he, and those who were with him?

²⁶How he entered into God’s house at the time of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the show bread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and gave also to those who were with him?”

²⁷He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.

²⁸Therefore the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”

²³അവൻ ശബ്ബത്തിൽ വിളഭൂമിയിൽകൂടി കടന്നുപോകുമ്പോൾ അവന്റെ ശീഷ്യന്മാർ വഴിനടക്കയിൽ കതിർ പറിച്ചുതുടങ്ങി.

²⁷പിന്നെ അവൻ അവരോടു: മനുഷ്യൻ ശബ്ബത്ത് നിമിത്തമല്ല; ശബ്ബത്ത് മനുഷ്യൻ നിമിത്തമത്രേ ഉണ്ടായതു;

²⁸അങ്ങനെ മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ ശബ്ബത്തിന്നും കർത്താവു ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
