¹²Then the disciples came and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”

¹³But he answered, “Every plant which my heavenly Father didn’t plant will be uprooted.

¹⁴Leave them alone. They are blind guides of the blind. If the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit.”

¹⁵Peter answered him, “Explain the parable to us.”

¹⁶So Jesus said, “Do you also still not understand?

¹⁷Don’t you understand that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the belly and then out of the body?

¹⁸But the things which proceed out of the mouth come out of the heart, and they defile the man.

¹⁹For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, false testimony, and blasphemies.

²⁰These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands doesn’t defile the man.”

¹²അപ്പോൾ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അടുക്കെ വന്നു: പരീശന്മാർ ഈ വാക്കു കേട്ടു ഇടറിപ്പോയി എന്നു അറിയുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

¹³അതിന്നു അവൻ : “സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ എന്റെ പിതാവു നട്ടിട്ടില്ലാത്ത തൈഒക്കെയും വേരോടെ പറിഞ്ഞുപോകും.

¹⁴അവരെ വിടുവിൻ ; അവർ കുരുടന്മാരായ വഴികാട്ടികൾ അത്രേ; കുരുടൻ കുരുടനെ വഴിനടത്തിയാൽ ഇരുവരും കുഴിയിൽ വീഴും എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

¹⁵പത്രൊസ് അവനോടു: ആ ഉപമ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു തെളിയിച്ചുതരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

¹⁶അതിന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതു: “നിങ്ങളും ഇന്നുവരെ ബോധമില്ലാത്തവരോ?

¹⁷വായിക്കകത്തു കടക്കുന്നതു എല്ലാം വയറ്റിൽ ചെന്നിട്ടു മറപ്പുരയിൽ പോകുന്നു എന്നു ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?

¹⁸വായിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്നതോ ഹൃദയത്തിൽനിന്നു വരുന്നു; അതു മനുഷ്യനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നു.

¹⁹എങ്ങനെയെന്നാൽ ദുശ്ചിന്ത, കുലപാതകം, വ്യഭിചാരം, പരസംഗം, മോഷണം, കള്ളസാക്ഷ്യം, ദൂഷണം എന്നിവ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നു.

²⁰മനുഷ്യനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നതു ഇതത്രേ; കഴുകാത്ത കൈകൊണ്ടു ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നതോ മനുഷ്യനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നില്ല.”

⁹Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed about them, and said to them, “You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land.”

¹⁰They said to him, “No, my lord, but your servants have come to buy food.

¹¹We are all one man’s sons; we are honest men. Your servants are not spies.”

¹²He said to them, “No, but you have come to see the nakedness of the land!”

¹³They said, “We, your servants, are twelve brothers, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan; and behold, the youngest is today with our father, and one is no more.”

¹⁴Joseph said to them, “It is like I told you, saying, ‘You are spies!’

¹⁵By this you shall be tested. By the life of Pharaoh, you shall not go out from here, unless your youngest brother comes here.

¹⁶Send one of you, and let him get your brother, and you shall be bound, that your words may be tested, whether there is truth in you, or else by the life of Pharaoh surely you are spies.”

¹⁷He put them all together into custody for three days.

⁹യോസേഫ് അവരെക്കുറിച്ചു കണ്ടിരുന്ന സ്വപ്നങ്ങൾ ഔർത്തു അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ഒറ്റുകാരാകുന്നു; ദേശത്തിന്റെ ദുർബ്ബലഭാഗം നോക്കുവാൻ നിങ്ങൾ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁵In Gibeon, Yahweh appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask for what I should give you.”

⁶Solomon said, “You have shown to your servant David my father great loving kindness, because he walked before you in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with you. You have kept for him this great loving kindness, that you have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is today.

⁷Now, Yahweh my God, you have made your servant king instead of David my father. I am just a little child. I don’t know how to go out or come in.

⁸Your servant is among your people which you have chosen, a great people, that can’t be numbered or counted for multitude.

⁹Give your servant therefore an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this great people of yours?”

⁵ഗിബെയോനിൽവെച്ചു യഹോവ രാത്രിയിൽ ശലോമോന്നു സ്വപ്നത്തിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി; നിനക്കു വേണ്ടുന്ന വരം ചോദിച്ചുകൊൾക എന്നു ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

⁹ആകയാൽ ഗുണവും ദോഷവും തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്‍വാൻ വിവേകമുള്ളോരു ഹൃദയം എനിക്കു തരേണമേ; അതുകൂടാതെ നിന്റെ ഈ വലിയ ജനത്തിന്നു ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്‍വാൻ ആർക്കും കഴിയും.

¹²“Listen to me, O Jacob,

¹³Yes, my hand has laid the foundation of the earth,

¹⁴“Assemble yourselves, all of you, and hear!

¹⁵I, even I, have spoken.

¹⁶“Come near to me and hear this:

¹²യാക്കോബേ, ഞാൻ വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന യിസ്രായേലേ, എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്ക; ഞാൻ അനന്യൻ ; ഞാൻ ആദ്യനും ഞാൻ അന്ത്യനും ആകുന്നു.

¹³എന്റെ കൈ ഭൂമിക്കു അടിസ്ഥാനമിട്ടു; എന്റെ വലങ്കൈ ആകാശത്തെ വിരിച്ചു; ഞാൻ വിളിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവ ഒക്കെയും ഉളവായ്‍വരുന്നു.

¹⁴നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും കൂടിവന്നു കേട്ടുകൊൾവിൻ ; അവരിൽ ആർ ഇതു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു? യഹോവ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവർ ബാബേലിനോടു അവന്റെ ഹിതവും കല്ദയരോടു അവന്റെ ഭുജബലവും അനുഷ്ഠിക്കും.

¹⁵ഞാൻ , ഞാൻ തന്നേ പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ അവനെ വിളിച്ചുവരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ വഴി സാദ്ധ്യമാകും.

¹⁷But the high priest rose up, and all those who were with him (which is the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with jealousy

¹⁸and laid hands on the apostles, then put them in public custody.

¹⁹But an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors by night, and brought them out and said,

²⁰“Go stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.”

²¹When they heard this, they entered into the temple about daybreak and taught. But the high priest and those who were with him came and called the council together, with all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.

²²But the officers who came didn’t find them in the prison. They returned and reported,

²³“We found the prison shut and locked, and the guards standing before the doors, but when we opened them, we found no one inside!”

²⁴Now when the high priest, the captain of the temple, and the chief priests heard these words, they were very perplexed about them and what might become of this.

²⁵One came and told them, “Behold, the men whom you put in prison are in the temple, standing and teaching the people.”

²⁶Then the captain went with the officers, and brought them without violence, for they were afraid that the people might stone them.

²⁷When they had brought them, they set them before the council. The high priest questioned them,

²⁸saying, “Didn’t we strictly command you not to teach in this name? Behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and intend to bring this man’s blood on us.”

²⁹But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.

³⁰The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you killed, hanging him on a tree.

³¹God exalted him with his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel, and remission of sins.

³²We are his witnesses of these things; and so also is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”

¹⁷പിന്നെ മഹാപുരോഹിതനും സദൂക്യരുടെ മതക്കാരായ അവന്റെ പക്ഷക്കാരൊക്കെയും

¹⁸അസൂയ നിറഞ്ഞു എഴുന്നേറ്റു അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരെ പിടിച്ചു പൊതു തടവിൽ ആക്കി.

¹⁹രാത്രിയിലോ കർത്താവിന്റെ ദൂതൻ കാരാഗൃഹവാതിൽ തുറന്നു അവരെ പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടു വന്നു:

²³തുറന്നപ്പോഴോ അകത്തു ആരെയും കണ്ടില്ല എന്നു അറിയിച്ചു.

²⁴ഈ വാക്കു കേട്ടിട്ടു ദൈവാലയത്തിലെ പടനായകനും മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ഇതു എന്തായിത്തീരും എന്നു അവരെക്കുറിച്ചു ചഞ്ചലിച്ചു.

²⁵അപ്പോൾ ഒരുത്തൻ വന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ തടവിൽ ആക്കിയ പുരുഷന്മാർ ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു ജനത്തെ ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.

²⁶പടനായകൻ ചേവകരുമായി ചെന്നു, ജനം കല്ലെറിയും എന്നു ഭയപ്പെടുകയാൽ ബലാൽക്കാരം ചെയ്യാതെ അവരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

²⁷അങ്ങനെ അവരെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു ന്യായാധിപസംഘത്തിന്മുമ്പാകെ നിറുത്തി; മഹാപുരോഹിതൻ അവരോടു:

²⁸ഈ നാമത്തിൽ ഉപദേശിക്കരുതു എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളോടു അമർച്ചയായി കല്പിച്ചുവല്ലോ; നിങ്ങളോ യെരൂശലേമിനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉപദേശംകൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ആ മനുഷ്യന്റെ രക്തം ഞങ്ങളുടെ മേൽ വരുത്തുവാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു. എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

²⁹അതിന്നു പത്രൊസും ശേഷം അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരും: മനുഷ്യരെക്കാൾ ദൈവത്തെ അനുസരിക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

³⁰നിങ്ങൾ മരത്തിൽ തൂക്കിക്കൊന്ന യേശുവിനെ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവം ഉയിർപ്പിച്ചു;

³¹യിസ്രായേലിന്നു മാനസാന്തരവും പാപമോചനവും നലകുവാൻ ദൈവം അവനെ പ്രഭുവായും രക്ഷിതാവായും തന്റെ വലങ്കയ്യാൽ ഉയർത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

³²ഈ വസ്തുതെക്കു ഞങ്ങളും ദൈവം തന്നെ അനുസരിക്കുന്നവർക്കും നല്കിയ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവും സാക്ഷികൾ ആകുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

¹⁴Now the natural man doesn’t receive the things of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to him; and he can’t know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

¹⁵But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is to be judged by no one.

¹⁶“For who has known the mind of the Lord that he should instruct him?” But we have Christ’s mind.

¹Brothers, I couldn’t speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly, as to babies in Christ.

²I fed you with milk, not with solid food, for you weren’t yet ready. Indeed, you aren’t ready even now,

³for you are still fleshly. For insofar as there is jealousy, strife, and factions among you, aren’t you fleshly, and don’t you walk in the ways of men?

⁴For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” aren’t you fleshly?

⁵Who then is Apollos, and who is Paul, but servants through whom you believed, and each as the Lord gave to him?

⁶I planted. Apollos watered. But God gave the increase.

⁷So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.

⁸Now he who plants and he who waters are the same, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

⁹For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s farming, God’s building.

¹⁴എന്നാൽ പ്രാകൃത മനുഷ്യൻ ദൈവാത്മാവിന്റെ ഉപദേശം കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നില്ല; അതു അവന്നു ഭോഷത്വം ആകുന്നു. ആത്മികമായി വിവേചിക്കേണ്ടതാകയാൽ അതു അവന്നു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ കഴിയുന്നതുമല്ല.

¹⁵ആത്മികനോ സകലത്തെയും വിവേചിക്കുന്നു; താൻ ആരാലും വിവേചിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല.

¹⁶കർത്താവിന്റെ മനസ്സു അറിഞ്ഞു അവനെ ഗ്രഹിപ്പിക്കാകുന്നവൻ ആർ? നാമോ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ മനസ്സുള്ളവർ ആകുന്നു.

¹എന്നാൽ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളോടു എനിക്കു ആത്മികന്മാരോടു എന്നപോലെ അല്ല, ജഡികന്മാരോടു എന്നപോലെ, ക്രിസ്തുവിൽ ശിശുക്കളായവരോടു എന്നപോലെ അത്രേ സംസാരിപ്പാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞുള്ളു.

⁴ഒരുത്തൻ : ഞാൻ പൗലൊസിന്റെ പക്ഷക്കാരൻ എന്നും മറ്റൊരുത്തൻ : ഞാൻ അപ്പൊല്ലോസിന്റെ പക്ഷക്കാരൻ എന്നും പറയുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ സാധാരണമനുഷ്യരല്ലയോ?

⁵അപ്പൊല്ലോസ് ആർ? പൗലൊസ് ആർ? തങ്ങൾക്കു കർത്താവു നല്കിയതുപോലെ നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിപ്പാൻ കാരണമായിത്തീർന്ന ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരത്രേ.

⁶ഞാൻ നട്ടു, അപ്പൊല്ലോസ് നനെച്ചു, ദൈവമത്രേ വളരുമാറാക്കിയതു.

⁷ആകയാൽ വളരുമാറാക്കുന്ന ദൈവമല്ലാതെ നടുന്നവനും നനെക്കുന്നവനും ഏതുമില്ല.

⁸നടുന്നവനും നനെക്കുന്നവനും ഒരുപോലെ; ഔരോരുത്തന്നു താന്താന്റെ അദ്ധ്വാനത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം കൂലി കിട്ടും.

⁵The disciples came to the other side and had forgotten to take bread.

⁶Jesus said to them, “Take heed and beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”

⁷They reasoned among themselves, saying, “We brought no bread.”

⁸Jesus, perceiving it, said, “Why do you reason among yourselves, you of little faith, because you have brought no bread?

⁹Don’t you yet perceive or remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up,

¹⁰or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many baskets you took up?

¹¹How is it that you don’t perceive that I didn’t speak to you concerning bread? But beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”

¹²Then they understood that he didn’t tell them to beware of the yeast of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

⁵ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അക്കരെ പോകുമ്പോൾ അപ്പം എടുപ്പാൻ മറന്നുപോയി.

⁶എന്നാൽ യേശു അവരോടു: “നോക്കുവിൻ പരീശന്മാരുടെയും സദൂക്യരുടെയും പുളിച്ച മാവു സൂക്ഷിച്ചു കൊൾവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.”

⁷അപ്പം കൊണ്ടുപോരായ്കയാൽ ആയിരിക്കും എന്നു അവർ തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.
