¹Now on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene went early, while it was still dark, to the tomb, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.

²Therefore she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have laid him!”

³Therefore Peter and the other disciple went out, and they went toward the tomb.

⁴They both ran together. The other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first.

⁵Stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths lying there; yet he didn’t enter in.

⁶Then Simon Peter came, following him, and entered into the tomb. He saw the linen cloths lying,

⁷and the cloth that had been on his head, not lying with the linen cloths, but rolled up in a place by itself.

⁸So then the other disciple who came first to the tomb also entered in, and he saw and believed.

⁹For as yet they didn’t know the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead.

¹⁰So the disciples went away again to their own homes.

¹¹But Mary was standing outside at the tomb weeping. So as she wept, she stooped and looked into the tomb,

¹²and she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

¹³They asked her, “Woman, why are you weeping?”

¹⁴When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing, and didn’t know that it was Jesus.

¹⁵Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?”

¹⁶Jesus said to her, “Mary.”

¹⁷Jesus said to her, “Don’t hold me, for I haven’t yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ ”

¹⁸Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had said these things to her.

¹ആഴ്ചവട്ടത്തിൽ ഒന്നാം നാൾ മഗ്ദലക്കാരത്തി മറിയ രാവിലെ ഇരുട്ടുള്ളപ്പോൾ തന്നേ കല്ലറെക്കൽ ചെന്നു കല്ലറവായ്ക്കൽ നിന്നു കല്ലു നീങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.

²അവൾ ഔടി ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസിന്റെയും യേശുവിന്നു പ്രിയനായ മറ്റെ ശിഷ്യന്റെയും അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു: കർത്താവിനെ കല്ലറയിൽ നിന്നു എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി; അവനെ എവിടെ വെച്ചു എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു;

⁵കുനിഞ്ഞുനോക്കി ശീലകൾ കിടക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു; അകത്തു കടന്നില്ലതാനും.

⁶അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസും വന്നു കല്ലറയിൽ കടന്നു

⁷ശീലകൾ കിടക്കുന്നതും അവന്റെ തലയിൽ ചുറ്റിയിരുന്നറൂമാൽ ശീലകളോടുകൂടെ കിടക്കാതെ വേറിട്ടു ഒരിടത്തു ചുരുട്ടി വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതും കണ്ടു.

⁸ആദ്യം കല്ലെറക്കൽ എത്തിയ മറ്റെ ശിഷ്യനും അപ്പോൾ അകത്തു ചെന്നു കണ്ടു വിശ്വസിച്ചു.

⁹അവൻ മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു എന്നുള്ള തിരുവെഴുത്തു അവർ അതുവരെ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല.

¹⁰അങ്ങനെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ വീട്ടിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

¹¹എന്നാൽ മറിയ കല്ലെറക്കൽ പുറത്തു കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു നിന്നു. കരയുന്നിടയിൽ അവൾ കല്ലറയിൽ കുനിഞ്ഞുനോക്കി.

¹²യേശുവിന്റെ ശരീരം കിടന്നിരുന്ന ഇടത്തു വെള്ളവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച രണ്ടു ദൂതന്മാർ ഒരുത്തൻ തലെക്കലും ഒരുത്തൻ കാൽക്കലും ഇരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.

¹³അവർ അവളോടു: സ്ത്രീയേ, നീ കരയുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. എന്റെ കർത്താവിനെ എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി; അവനെ എവിടെ വെച്ചു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവൾ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

¹When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint him.

²Very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.

³They were saying among themselves, “Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?”

⁴for it was very big. Looking up, they saw that the stone was rolled back.

⁵Entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe; and they were amazed.

⁶He said to them, “Don’t be amazed. You seek Jesus, the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him!

⁷But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He goes before you into Galilee. There you will see him, as he said to you.’ ”

⁸They went out, and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had come on them. They said nothing to anyone; for they were afraid.

²⁶Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

²⁷“However on the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement. It shall be a holy convocation to you. You shall afflict yourselves and you shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh.

²⁸You shall do no kind of work in that same day, for it is a day of atonement, to make atonement for you before Yahweh your God.

²⁹For whoever it is who shall not deny himself in that same day shall be cut off from his people.

³⁰Whoever does any kind of work in that same day, I will destroy that person from among his people.

³¹You shall do no kind of work: it is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

³²It shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for you, and you shall deny yourselves. In the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall keep your Sabbath.”

²⁶യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു:

²⁷ഏഴാം മാസം പത്താം തിയ്യതി പാപപരിഹാരദിവസം ആകുന്നു. അന്നു നിങ്ങൾക്കു വിശുദ്ധസഭായോഗം ഉണ്ടാകേണം; നിങ്ങൾ ആത്മതപനം ചെയ്കയും യഹോവേക്കു ദഹനയാഗം അർപ്പിക്കയും വേണം.

²⁸അന്നു നിങ്ങൾ യാതൊരു വേലയും ചെയ്യരുതു; അതു നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടി പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നുള്ള പാപപരിഹാരദിവസം.

²⁹അന്നു ആത്മതപനം ചെയ്യാത്ത ഏവനെയും അവന്റെ ജനത്തിൽനിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം.

³¹യാതൊരു വേലയും ചെയ്യരുതു; ഇതു നിങ്ങൾക്കു തലമുറതലമുറയായി നിങ്ങളുടെ സകലവാസസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും എന്നേക്കുമുള്ള ചട്ടം ആയിരിക്കേണം.

²²“Men of Israel, hear these words! Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved by God to you by mighty works and wonders and signs which God did by him among you, even as you yourselves know,

²³him, being delivered up by the determined counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by the hand of lawless men, crucified and killed;

²⁴whom God raised up, having freed him from the agony of death, because it was not possible that he should be held by it.

²⁵For David says concerning him,

²⁶Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced.

²⁷because you will not leave my soul in Hades,

²⁸You made known to me the ways of life.

²⁹“Brothers, I may tell you freely of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

³⁰Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, he would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,

³¹he foreseeing this, spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that his soul wasn’t left in Hades, and his flesh didn’t see decay.

³²This Jesus God raised up, to which we all are witnesses.

³³Being therefore exalted by the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this which you now see and hear.

³⁴For David didn’t ascend into the heavens, but he says himself,

³⁵until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.” ’

³⁶“Let all the house of Israel therefore know certainly that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”

²²യിസ്രായേൽ പുരുഷന്മാരേ, ഈ വചനം കേട്ടു കൊൾവിൻ . നിങ്ങൾ തന്നേ അറിയുംപോലെ ദൈവം അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ നടുവിൽ ചെയ്യിച്ച ശക്തികളും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും അടയാളങ്ങളും കൊണ്ടു

²⁷നീ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ പാതാളത്തിൽ വിടുകയില്ല; നിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനെ ദ്രവത്വം കാണ്മാൻ സമ്മതിക്കയുമില്ല.

²⁹സഹോദരന്മാരായ പുരുഷന്മാരേ, ഗോത്രപിതാവായ ദാവീദിനെക്കുറിച്ച് അവൻ മരിച്ചു അടക്കപ്പെട്ടു എന്നു എനിക്കു നിങ്ങളോടു ധൈര്യമായി പറയാം; അവന്റെ കല്ലറ ഇന്നുവരെ നമ്മുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.

³⁰എന്നാൽ അവൻ പ്രവാചകൻ ആകയാൽ ദൈവം അവന്റെ കടിപ്രദേശത്തിന്റെ ഫലത്തിൽ നിന്ൻ ഒരുത്തനെ അവന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരുത്തും എന്നു തന്നോടു സത്യം ചെയ്ത് ഉറപ്പിച്ചു എന്നു അറഞ്ഞിട്ടു:

³⁴ദാവീദ് സ്വർഗ്ഗാരോഹണം ചെയ്തില്ലല്ലോ. എന്നാൽ അവൻ :

³⁶ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ക്രൂശിച്ച ഈ യേശുവിനെ തന്നേ ദൈവം കർത്താവും ക്രിസ്തുവുമാക്കിവെച്ചു എന്നു യിസ്രായേൽ ഗൃഹം ഒക്കെയും നിശ്ചയമായി അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളട്ടെ.

¹Now I declare to you, brothers, the Good News which I preached to you, which also you received, in which you also stand,

²by which also you are saved, if you hold firmly the word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.

³For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,

⁴that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

⁵and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

⁶Then he appeared to over five hundred brothers at once, most of whom remain until now, but some have also fallen asleep.

⁷Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles,

⁸and last of all, as to the child born at the wrong time, he appeared to me also.

⁹For I am the least of the apostles, who is not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the assembly of God.

¹⁰But by the grace of God I am what I am. His grace which was given to me was not futile, but I worked more than all of them; yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

¹¹Whether then it is I or they, so we preach, and so you believed.

¹²Now if Christ is preached, that he has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?

¹³But if there is no resurrection of the dead, neither has Christ been raised.

¹⁴If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith also is in vain.

¹⁵Yes, we are also found false witnesses of God, because we testified about God that he raised up Christ, whom he didn’t raise up if it is true that the dead are not raised.

¹⁶For if the dead aren’t raised, neither has Christ been raised.

¹⁷If Christ has not been raised, your faith is vain; you are still in your sins.

¹⁸Then they also who are fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

¹⁹If we have only hoped in Christ in this life, we are of all men most pitiable.

¹എന്നാൽ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു സുവിശേഷിച്ചതും നിങ്ങൾക്കു ലഭിച്ചതും നിങ്ങൾ നിലനിൽക്കുന്നതും നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിച്ചതും വൃഥാവല്ലെന്നു വരികിൽ നിങ്ങൾ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമായ സുവിശേഷം നിങ്ങൾ പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാൽ ഞാൻ ഇന്നവിധം നിങ്ങളോടു സുവിശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങളെ ഔർപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

⁴തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളിൻ പ്രകാരം മൂന്നാംനാൾ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു കേഫാവിന്നും

⁵പിന്നെ പന്തിരുവർക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ഗ്രഹിച്ചതു തന്നേ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ആദ്യമായി ഏല്പിച്ചുതന്നുവല്ലോ.

⁶അനന്തരം അവൻ അഞ്ഞൂറ്റിൽ അധികം സഹോദരന്മാർക്കും ഒരുമിച്ചു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി; അവർ മിക്കപേരും ഇന്നുവരെ ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്നു; ചിലരോ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

⁷അനന്തരം അവൻ യാക്കോബിന്നും പിന്നെ അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാർക്കും എല്ലാവർക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.

⁸എല്ലാവർക്കും ഒടുവിൽ അകാലപ്രജപോലെയുള്ള എനിക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി;

⁹ഞാൻ അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരിൽ ഏറ്റവും ചെറിയവനല്ലോ; ദൈവസഭയെ ഉപദ്രവിച്ചതിനാൽ അപ്പൊസ്തലൻ എന്ന പേരിന്നു യോഗ്യനുമല്ല.

¹¹Now while they were going, behold, some of the guards came into the city and told the chief priests all the things that had happened.

¹²When they were assembled with the elders and had taken counsel, they gave a large amount of silver to the soldiers,

¹³saying, “Say that his disciples came by night and stole him away while we slept.

¹⁴If this comes to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him and make you free of worry.”

¹⁵So they took the money and did as they were told. This saying was spread abroad among the Jews, and continues until today.

¹⁶But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had sent them.

¹⁷When they saw him, they bowed down to him; but some doubted.

¹⁸Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.

¹⁹Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

²⁰teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

¹But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they and some others came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared.

²They found the stone rolled away from the tomb.

³They entered in, and didn’t find the Lord Jesus’ body.

⁴While they were greatly perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling clothing.

⁵Becoming terrified, they bowed their faces down to the earth.

⁶He isn’t here, but is risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee,

⁷saying that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and the third day rise again?”

⁸They remembered his words,

⁹returned from the tomb, and told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest.

¹⁰Now they were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James. The other women with them told these things to the apostles.
