¹⁹Jesus therefore answered them, “Most certainly, I tell you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father doing. For whatever things he does, these the Son also does likewise.

²⁰For the Father has affection for the Son, and shows him all things that he himself does. He will show him greater works than these, that you may marvel.

²¹For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whom he desires.

²²For the Father judges no one, but he has given all judgment to the Son,

²³that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He who doesn’t honor the Son doesn’t honor the Father who sent him.

²⁴“Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and doesn’t come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

²⁵Most certainly I tell you, the hour comes, and now is, when the dead will hear the Son of God’s voice; and those who hear will live.

²⁶For as the Father has life in himself, even so he gave to the Son also to have life in himself.

²⁷He also gave him authority to execute judgment, because he is a son of man.

²⁸Don’t marvel at this, for the hour comes in which all who are in the tombs will hear his voice

²⁹and will come out; those who have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.

¹⁹ആകയാൽ യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: ആമേൻ , ആമേൻ , ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: പിതാവു ചെയ്തു കാണുന്നതു അല്ലാതെ പുത്രന്നു സ്വതേ ഒന്നും ചെയ്‍വാൻ കഴികയില്ല; അവൻ ചെയ്യുന്നതു എല്ലാം പുത്രനും അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ ചെയ്യുന്നു.

²⁰പിതാവു പുത്രനെ സ്നേഹിക്കയും താൻ ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും അവന്നു കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെടുമാറു ഇവയിൽ വലിയ പ്രവൃത്തികളും അവന്നു കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും.

²¹പിതാവു മരിച്ചവരെ ഉണർത്തി ജീവിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ പുത്രനും താൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവരെ ജീവിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

²²എല്ലാവരും പിതാവിനെ ബഹുമാനിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ പുത്രനെയും ബഹുമാനിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പിതാവു ആരെയും ന്യായം വിധിക്കാതെ ന്യായവിധി എല്ലാം പുത്രന്നുകൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

²³പുത്രനെ ബഹുമാനിക്കാത്തവൻ അവനെ അയച്ച പിതാവിനെയും ബഹുമാനിക്കുന്നില്ല.

²⁴ആമേൻ , ആമേൻ , ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: എന്റെ വചനം കേട്ടു എന്നെ അയച്ചവനെ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു നിത്യജീവൻ ഉണ്ടു; അവൻ ന്യായവിധിയിൽ ആകാതെ മരണത്തിൽ നിന്നു ജീവങ്കലേക്കു കടന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

³¹“But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.

³²Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

³³He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

³⁴Then the King will tell those on his right hand, ‘Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;

³⁵for I was hungry and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you took me in.

³⁶I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me.’

³⁷“Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you a drink?

³⁸When did we see you as a stranger and take you in, or naked and clothe you?

³⁹When did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?’

⁴⁰“The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

⁴¹Then he will say also to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels;

⁴²for I was hungry, and you didn’t give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink;

⁴³I was a stranger, and you didn’t take me in; naked, and you didn’t clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’

⁴⁴“Then they will also answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn’t help you?’

⁴⁵“Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you didn’t do it to one of the least of these, you didn’t do it to me.’

⁴⁶These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

³³When Jacob finished charging his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, breathed his last breath, and was gathered to his people.

¹Joseph fell on his father’s face, wept on him, and kissed him.

²Joseph commanded his servants, the physicians, to embalm his father; and the physicians embalmed Israel.

³Forty days were used for him, for that is how many days it takes to embalm. The Egyptians wept for Israel for seventy days.

⁴When the days of weeping for him were past, Joseph spoke to Pharaoh’s staff, saying, “If now I have found favor in your eyes, please speak in the ears of Pharaoh, saying,

⁵‘My father made me swear, saying, “Behold, I am dying. Bury me in my grave which I have dug for myself in the land of Canaan.” Now therefore, please let me go up and bury my father, and I will come again.’ ”

⁶Pharaoh said, “Go up, and bury your father, just like he made you swear.”

⁷Joseph went up to bury his father; and with him went up all the servants of Pharaoh, the elders of his house, all the elders of the land of Egypt,

⁸all the house of Joseph, his brothers, and his father’s house. Only their little ones, their flocks, and their herds, they left in the land of Goshen.

⁹Both chariots and horsemen went up with him. It was a very great company.

¹⁰They came to the threshing floor of Atad, which is beyond the Jordan, and there they lamented with a very great and severe lamentation. He mourned for his father seven days.

¹¹When the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, saw the mourning in the floor of Atad, they said, “This is a grievous mourning by the Egyptians.” Therefore its name was called Abel Mizraim, which is beyond the Jordan.

¹²His sons did to him just as he commanded them,

¹³for his sons carried him into the land of Canaan, and buried him in the cave of the field of Machpelah, which Abraham bought with the field, as a possession for a burial site, from Ephron the Hittite, near Mamre.

¹Yahweh’s hand was on me, and he brought me out in Yahweh’s Spirit, and set me down in the middle of the valley; and it was full of bones.

²He caused me to pass by them all around; and behold, there were very many in the open valley, and behold, they were very dry.

³He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”

⁴Again he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones, and tell them, ‘You dry bones, hear Yahweh’s word.

⁵The Lord Yahweh says to these bones: “Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you will live.

⁶I will lay sinews on you, and will bring up flesh on you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you will live. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.” ’ ”

⁷So I prophesied as I was commanded. As I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, there was an earthquake. Then the bones came together, bone to its bone.

⁸I saw, and, behold, there were sinews on them, and flesh came up, and skin covered them above; but there was no breath in them.

⁹Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the wind, prophesy, son of man, and tell the wind, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Come from the four winds, breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” ’ ”

¹⁰So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up on their feet, an exceedingly great army.

¹¹Then he said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost. We are completely cut off.’

¹²Therefore prophesy, and tell them, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Behold, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, my people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel.

¹³You will know that I am Yahweh, when I have opened your graves and caused you to come up out of your graves, my people.

¹⁴I will put my Spirit in you, and you will live. Then I will place you in your own land; and you will know that I, Yahweh, have spoken it and performed it,” says Yahweh.’ ”

¹യഹോവയുടെ കൈ എന്റെമേൽ വന്നു യഹോവയുടെ ആത്മാവിൽ എന്നെ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു താഴ്വരയുടെ നടുവിൽ നിറുത്തി; അതു അസ്ഥികൾകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

⁴അവൻ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതു: നീ ഈ അസ്ഥികളെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രവചിച്ചു അവയോടു പറയേണ്ടതു: ഉണങ്ങിയ അസ്ഥികളേ, യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾപ്പിൻ !

⁵യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു ഈ അസ്ഥികളോടു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ ജീവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളിൽ ശ്വാസം വരുത്തും.

⁶ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ ഞരമ്പുവെച്ചു മാംസം പിടിപ്പിച്ചു നിങ്ങളെ ത്വക്കുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു നിങ്ങൾ ജീവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളിൽ ശ്വാസം വരുത്തും; ഞാൻ യഹോവ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയും.

⁷എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഞാൻ പ്രവചിച്ചു; ഞാൻ പ്രവചിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഒരു മുഴക്കം കേട്ടു; ഉടനെ ഒരു ഭൂകമ്പം ഉണ്ടായി, അസ്ഥി അസ്ഥിയോടു വന്നുചേർന്നു.

⁸പിന്നെ ഞാൻ നോക്കി: അവയുടെ മേൽ ഞരമ്പും മാംസവും വന്നതും അവയുടെമേൽ ത്വകൂ പൊതിഞ്ഞതും കണ്ടു; എന്നാൽ ശ്വാസം അവയിൽ ഇല്ലാതെയിരുന്നു.

⁹അപ്പോൾ അവൻ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതു: കാറ്റിനോടു പ്രവചിക്ക; മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ പ്രവചിച്ചു കാറ്റിനോടു പറയേണ്ടതു: യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ശ്വാസമേ, നീ നാലു കാറ്റുകളിൽനിന്നും വന്നു ഈ നിഹതന്മാർ ജീവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ മേൽ ഊതുക.

¹⁰I said, “In the middle of my life I go into the gates of Sheol.

¹¹I said, “I won’t see Yah,

¹²My dwelling is removed,

¹³I waited patiently until morning.

¹⁴I chattered like a swallow or a crane.

¹⁵What will I say?

¹⁶Lord, men live by these things;

¹⁷Behold, for peace I had great anguish,

¹⁸For Sheol can’t praise you.

¹⁹The living, the living, he shall praise you, as I do today.

¹⁵ഞാൻ എന്തു പറയേണ്ടു? അവൻ എന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു, അവൻ തന്നേ നിവർത്തിച്ചും ഇരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ മനോവ്യസനം ഹേതുവായി ഞാൻ എന്റെ കാലമൊക്കെയും സാവധാനത്തോടെ നടക്കും.

¹⁶കർത്താവേ, അതിനാൽ മനുഷ്യർ ജീവിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ജീവനും കേവലം അതിലത്രേ; അങ്ങനെ നീ എന്നെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി എന്റെ ജീവനെ രക്ഷിക്കും.

¹⁸പാതാളം നിന്നെ സ്തുതിക്കുന്നില്ല; മരണം നിന്നെ വാഴ്ത്തുന്നില്ല; കുഴിയിൽ ഇറങ്ങുന്നവർ നിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തതയെ പ്രത്യാശിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

¹⁹ഞാൻ ഇന്നു ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ ജീവനുള്ളവൻ , ജീവനുള്ളവൻ മാത്രം നിന്നെ സ്തുതിക്കും; അപ്പൻ മക്കളോടു നിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തയെ അറിയിക്കും.

²⁰യഹോവ എന്നെ രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങൾ ജീവപര്യന്തം യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ തന്ത്രിനാദത്തോടെ എന്റെ ഗീതങ്ങളെ പാടും.

³⁸Judas gathered his army and came to the city of Adullam. As the seventh day was coming on, they purified themselves according to the custom, and kept the Sabbath there.

³⁹On the following day, when it had become necessary, Judas and his company came to take up the bodies of those who had fallen, and in company with their kinsmen to bring them back to the sepulchres of their ancestors.

⁴⁰But under the garments of each one of the dead they found consecrated tokens of the idols of Jamnia, which the law forbids the Jews to have anything to do with. It became clear to all that it was for this cause that they had fallen.

⁴¹All therefore, blessing the ways of the Lord, the righteous Judge, who makes manifest the things that are hidden,

⁴²turned themselves to supplication, praying that the sin committed might be wholly blotted out. The noble Judas exhorted the multitude to keep themselves from sin, for they had seen with their own eyes what happened because of the sin of those who had fallen.

⁴³When he had made a collection man by man to the sum of two thousand drachmas of silver, he sent to Jerusalem to offer a sacrifice for sin, doing very well and honorably in this, in that he took thought for the resurrection.

⁴⁴For if he wasn’t expecting that those who had fallen would rise again, it would be superfluous and idle to pray for the dead.

⁴⁵But if he was looking forward to an honorable memorial of gratitude laid up for those who die in godliness, then the thought was holy and godly. Therefore he made the atoning sacrifice for those who had died, that they might be released from their sin.

¹Let not many of you be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgment.

²For we all stumble in many things. Anyone who doesn’t stumble in word is a perfect person, able to bridle the whole body also.

³Indeed, we put bits into the horses’ mouths so that they may obey us, and we guide their whole body.

⁴Behold, the ships also, though they are so big and are driven by fierce winds, are yet guided by a very small rudder, wherever the pilot desires.

⁵So the tongue is also a little member, and boasts great things. See how a small fire can spread to a large forest!

⁶And the tongue is a fire. The world of iniquity among our members is the tongue, which defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by Gehenna.

⁷For every kind of animal, bird, creeping thing, and sea creature is tamed, and has been tamed by mankind;

⁸but nobody can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

⁹With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men who are made in the image of God.

¹⁰Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.

¹¹Does a spring send out from the same opening fresh and bitter water?

¹²Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water.

¹സഹോദരന്മാരേ, അധികം ശിക്ഷാവിധിവരും എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞു നിങ്ങളിൽ അനേകർ ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കന്മാർ ആകരുതു.

²നാം എല്ലാവരും പലതിലും തെറ്റിപോകുന്നു; ഒരുത്തൻ വാക്കിൽ തെറ്റാതിരുന്നാൽ അവൻ ശരീരത്തെ മുഴുവനും കടിഞ്ഞാണിട്ടു നടത്തുവാൻ ശക്തനായി സൽഗുണപൂർത്തിയുള്ള പുരുഷൻ ആകുന്നു.

³കുതിരയെ അധീനമാക്കുവാൻ വായിൽ കടിഞ്ഞാൺ ഇട്ടു അതിന്റെ ശരീരം മുഴുവനും തിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

⁴കപ്പലും എത്ര വലിയതു ആയാലും കൊടുങ്കാറ്റടിച്ചു ഔടുന്നതായാലും അമരക്കാരൻ ഏറ്റവും ചെറിയ ചുക്കാൻ കൊണ്ടു തനിക്കു ബോധിച്ച ദിക്കിലേക്കു തിരിക്കുന്നു.

⁵അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ നാവും ചെറിയ അവയവം എങ്കിലും വളരെ വമ്പു പറയുന്നു. കുറഞ്ഞ തീ എത്ര വലിയ കാടു കത്തിക്കുന്നു;

⁶നാവും ഒരു തീ തന്നേ; അതു നമ്മുടെ അംഗങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ അനീതിലോകമായി ദേഹത്തെ മുഴുവൻ മലിനമാക്കി ജീവചക്രത്തിന്നു തീ കൊളുത്തുകയും നരകത്താൽ അതിന്നു തീ പിടിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

⁷മൃഗം, പക്ഷി, ഇഴജാതി, ജലജന്തു ഈവക എല്ലാം മനുഷ്യജാതിയോടു മരുങ്ങുന്നു, മരുങ്ങിയുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

⁸നാവിനെയോ മനുഷ്യക്കാർക്കും മരുക്കാവതല്ല; അതു അടങ്ങാത്ത ദോഷം; മരണകരമായ വിഷം നിറഞ്ഞതു.

⁹അതിനാൽ നാം കർത്താവും പിതാവുമായവനെ സ്തുതിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സാദൃശ്യത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായ മനുഷ്യരെ അതിനാൽ ശപിക്കുന്നു.

¹⁰ഒരു വായിൽനിന്നു തന്നേ സ്തോത്രവും ശാപവും പുറപ്പെടുന്നു. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഇങ്ങനെ ആയിരിക്കുന്നതു യോഗ്യമല്ല.

¹¹ഉറവിന്റെ ഒരേ ദ്വാരത്തിൽനിന്നു മധുരവും കൈപ്പുമുള്ള വെള്ളം പുറപ്പെട്ടു വരുമോ?

¹²സഹോദരന്മാരേ, അത്തിവൃക്ഷം ഒലിവുപഴവും മുന്തിരിവള്ളി അത്തിപ്പഴവും കായിക്കുമോ? ഉപ്പുറവിൽനിന്നു മധുരമുള്ള വെള്ളം പുറപ്പെടുകയുമില്ല.

²⁰But now Christ has been raised from the dead. He became the first fruit of those who are asleep.

²¹For since death came by man, the resurrection of the dead also came by man.

²²For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

²³But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then those who are Christ’s at his coming.

²⁴Then the end comes, when he will deliver up the Kingdom to God the Father, when he will have abolished all rule and all authority and power.

²⁵For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.

²⁶The last enemy that will be abolished is death.

²⁷For, “He put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when he says, “All things are put in subjection”, it is evident that he is excepted who subjected all things to him.

²⁸When all things have been subjected to him, then the Son will also himself be subjected to him who subjected all things to him, that God may be all in all.

²⁰എന്നാൽ ക്രിസ്തു നിദ്രകൊണ്ടവരിൽ ആദ്യഫലമായി മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു ഉയിർത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

²¹മനുഷ്യൻ മൂലം മരണം ഉണ്ടാകയാൽ മരിച്ചവരുടെ പുനരുത്ഥാനവും മനുഷ്യൻ മൂലം ഉണ്ടായി.

²²ആദാമിൽ എല്ലാവരും മരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ക്രിസ്തുവിൽ എല്ലാവരും ജീവിക്കപ്പെടും.

²³ഔരോരുത്തനും താന്താന്റെ നിരയിലത്രേ; ആദ്യഫലം ക്രിസ്തു; പിന്നെ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നുള്ളവർ അവന്റെ വരവിങ്കൽ;

²⁴പിന്നെ അവസാനം; അന്നു അവൻ എല്ലാവാഴ്ചെക്കും അധികാരത്തിന്നും ശക്തിക്കും നീക്കം വരുത്തീട്ടു രാജ്യം പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തെ ഏല്പിക്കും.

²⁵അവൻ സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും കാൽക്കീഴാക്കുവോളം വാഴേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

²⁶ഒടുക്കത്തെ ശത്രുവായിട്ടു മരണം നീങ്ങിപ്പോകും.

²⁷സകലത്തെയും അവന്റെ കാൽക്കീഴാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ; സകലവും അവന്നു കീഴ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ സകലത്തെയും കീഴാക്കിക്കൊടുത്തവൻ ഒഴികെയത്രേ എന്നു സ്പഷ്ടം.

²⁸എന്നാൽ അവന്നു സകലവും കീഴ്പെട്ടുവന്നശേഷം ദൈവം സകലത്തിലും സകലവും ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു പുത്രൻ താനും സകലവും തനിക്കു കീഴാക്കിക്കൊടുത്തവന്നു കീഴ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും.

³²“Don’t be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.

³³Sell what you have and give gifts to the needy. Make for yourselves purses which don’t grow old, a treasure in the heavens that doesn’t fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.

³⁴For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

³⁵“Let your waist be dressed and your lamps burning.

³⁶Be like men watching for their lord when he returns from the wedding feast, that when he comes and knocks, they may immediately open to him.

³⁷Blessed are those servants whom the lord will find watching when he comes. Most certainly I tell you that he will dress himself, make them recline, and will come and serve them.

³⁸They will be blessed if he comes in the second or third watch and finds them so.

³⁹But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.

⁴⁰Therefore be ready also, for the Son of Man is coming in an hour that you don’t expect him.”

⁴¹Peter said to him, “Lord, are you telling this parable to us, or to everybody?”

⁴²The Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the right times?

⁴³Blessed is that servant whom his lord will find doing so when he comes.

⁴⁴Truly I tell you that he will set him over all that he has.

⁴⁵But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My lord delays his coming,’ and begins to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink and to be drunken,

⁴⁶then the lord of that servant will come in a day when he isn’t expecting him and in an hour that he doesn’t know, and will cut him in two, and place his portion with the unfaithful.

⁴⁷That servant who knew his lord’s will, and didn’t prepare nor do what he wanted, will be beaten with many stripes,

⁴⁸but he who didn’t know, and did things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few stripes. To whomever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom much was entrusted, of him more will be asked.

³²ചെറിയ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടമേ, ഭയപ്പെടരുതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവു രാജ്യം നിങ്ങൾക്കു നലകുവാൻ പ്രസാദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

³³നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളതു വിറ്റു ഭിക്ഷകൊടുപ്പിൻ ; കള്ളൻ അടുക്കയോ പുഴു കെടുക്കയോ ചെയ്യാത്ത സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ പഴകിപ്പോകാത്ത മടിശ്ശീലകളും തീർന്നുപോകാത്ത നിക്ഷേപവും നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഉണ്ടാക്കിക്കൊൾവിൻ .

³⁴നിങ്ങളുടെ നിക്ഷേപം ഉള്ളേടത്തു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയവും ഇരിക്കും.

³⁵നിങ്ങളുടെ അര കെട്ടിയും വിളകൂ കത്തിയും കൊണ്ടിരിക്കട്ടെ.

³⁶യജമാനൻ കല്യാണത്തിന്നു പോയി വന്നു മുട്ടിയാൽ ഉടനെ വാതിൽ തുറന്നുകൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ എപ്പോൾ മടങ്ങിവരും വന്നു കാത്തുനിലക്കുന്ന ആളുകളോടു നിങ്ങൾ തുല്യരായിരിപ്പിൻ .

³⁷യജമാനൻ വരുന്നേരം ഉണർന്നിരിക്കുന്നവരായി കാണുന്ന ദാസന്മാർ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ; അവൻ അര കെട്ടി അവരെ ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നിരുത്തുകയും വന്നു അവർക്കും ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്കയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായി നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

³⁸അവൻ രണ്ടാം യാമത്തിൽ വന്നാലും മൂന്നാമതിൽ വന്നാലും അങ്ങനെ കണ്ടു എങ്കിൽ അവർ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ.

³⁹കള്ളൻ ഇന്ന നാഴികെക്കു വരുന്നു എന്നു വിട്ടുടയവൻ അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവൻ ഉണർന്നിരുന്നു തന്റെ വീടു തുരപ്പാൻ സമ്മതിക്കയില്ല എന്നറിവിൻ .

⁴⁰നിനയാത്ത നാഴികയിൽ മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ വരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളും ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിപ്പിൻ .

⁴¹കർത്താവേ, ഈ ഉപമ പറയുന്നതു ഞങ്ങളോടോ എല്ലാവരോടും കൂടെയോ എന്നു പത്രൊസ് ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു കർത്താവു പറഞ്ഞതു:

⁴²തക്കസമയത്തു ആഹാരവീതം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യജമാനൻ തന്റെ വേലക്കാരുടെ മേൽ ആക്കുന്ന വിശ്വസ്തനും ബുദ്ധിമാനുമായ ഗൃഹവിചാരകൻ ആർ?

⁴³യജമാനൻ വരുമ്പോൾ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തുകാണുന്ന ദാസൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ .

⁴⁴അവൻ തനിക്കുള്ള സകലത്തിന്നും അവനെ വിചാരകനാക്കിവേക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

⁴⁵എന്നാൽ ദാസൻ : യജമാനൻ താമസിച്ചേ വരികയുള്ളു എന്നു ഹൃദയത്തിൽ പറഞ്ഞു ബാല്യക്കാരെയും ബാല്യക്കാരത്തികളെയും തല്ലുവാനും തിന്നു കുടിച്ചു മദിപ്പാനും തുടങ്ങിയാൻ ,

⁴⁶അവൻ നോക്കിയിരിക്കാത്ത നാളിലും അറിയാത്ത നാഴികയിലും ആ ദാസന്റെ യജമാനൻ വന്നു അവനെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കയും അവന്നു അവിശ്വാസികളോടുകൂടെ പങ്കു കല്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

⁴⁷യജമാനന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഒരുങ്ങാതെയും അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്യാതെയുമിരിക്കുന്ന ദാസന്നു വളരെ അടികൊള്ളും.

⁴⁸അറിയാതെകണ്ടു അടിക്കു യോഗ്യമായതു ചെയ്തവന്നോ കുറയ അടി കൊള്ളും; വളരെ ലഭിച്ചവനോടു വളരെ ആവശ്യപ്പെടും; അധികം ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങിയവനോടു അധികം ചോദിക്കും.
