³⁸For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man also will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”

¹He said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste death until they see God’s Kingdom come with power.”

²After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John, and brought them up onto a high mountain privately by themselves, and he was changed into another form in front of them.

³His clothing became glistening, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them.

⁴Elijah and Moses appeared to them, and they were talking with Jesus.

⁵Peter answered Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let’s make three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

⁶For he didn’t know what to say, for they were very afraid.

⁷A cloud came, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.”

⁸Suddenly looking around, they saw no one with them any more, except Jesus only.

⁹As they were coming down from the mountain, he commanded them that they should tell no one what things they had seen, until after the Son of Man had risen from the dead.

¹⁰They kept this saying to themselves, questioning what the “rising from the dead” meant.

¹¹They asked him, saying, “Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”

¹²He said to them, “Elijah indeed comes first, and restores all things. How is it written about the Son of Man, that he should suffer many things and be despised?

¹³But I tell you that Elijah has come, and they have also done to him whatever they wanted to, even as it is written about him.”

³⁸വ്യഭിചാരവും പാപവും ഉള്ള ഈ തലമുറയിൽ ആരെങ്കിലും എന്നെയും എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെയും കുറിച്ചു നാണിച്ചാൽ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു മനുഷ്യപുത്രനും തന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ തേജസ്സിൽ വിശുദ്ധ ദൂതന്മാരുമായി വരുമ്പോൾ നാണിക്കും;

³ഭൂമിയിൽ ഒരു അലക്കുകാരന്നും വെളുപ്പിപ്പാൻ കഴിയാതെവണ്ണം അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രം അത്യന്തം വെളുപ്പായി തിളങ്ങി.

⁴അപ്പോൾ ഏലീയാവും മോശെയും അവർക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷമായി യേശുവിനോടു സംഭാഷിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

¹⁰മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു എഴുന്നേൽക്ക എന്നുള്ളതു എന്തു എന്നു തമ്മിൽ തർക്കിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു അവർ ആ വാക്കു ഉള്ളിൽ സംഗ്രഹിച്ചു;

¹¹ഏലീയാവു മുമ്പെ വരേണ്ടതു എന്നു ശാസ്ത്രിമാർ വാദിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു അവർ ചോദിച്ചു.

¹²അതിന്നു യേശു: ഏന്നഏലീയാവു മുമ്പെ വന്നു സകലവും യഥാസ്ഥാനത്താക്കുന്നു സത്യം; എന്നാൽ മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ചു: അവൻ വളരെ കഷ്ടപ്പെടുകയും ധിക്കരിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടിവരും എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

²⁷For the Son of Man will come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will give to everyone according to his deeds.

²⁸Most certainly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste of death until they see the Son of Man coming in his Kingdom.”

¹After six days, Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain by themselves.

²He was changed before them. His face shone like the sun, and his garments became as white as the light.

³Behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them talking with him.

⁴Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you want, let’s make three tents here: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

⁵While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. Behold, a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”

⁶When the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces, and were very afraid.

⁷Jesus came and touched them and said, “Get up, and don’t be afraid.”

⁸Lifting up their eyes, they saw no one, except Jesus alone.

⁹As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, “Don’t tell anyone what you saw, until the Son of Man has risen from the dead.”

¹⁰His disciples asked him, saying, “Then why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”

¹¹Jesus answered them, “Elijah indeed comes first, and will restore all things;

¹²but I tell you that Elijah has come already, and they didn’t recognize him, but did to him whatever they wanted to. Even so the Son of Man will also suffer by them.”

¹³Then the disciples understood that he spoke to them of John the Baptizer.

²⁷മനുഷ്യ പുത്രൻ തന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിൽ തന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരുമായി വരും; അപ്പോൾ അവൻ ഔരോരുത്തന്നും അവനവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം പകരം നലകും.

³മോശെയും ഏലിയാവും അവനോടു സംഭാഷിക്കുന്നതായി അവർ കണ്ടു.

⁴അപ്പോൾ പത്രൊസ് യേശുവിനോടു: കർത്താവേ, നാം ഇവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു നന്നു; നിനക്കു സമ്മതമെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ മൂന്നു കുടിൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കാം ഒന്നു നിനക്കും ഒന്നു മോശെക്കും ഒന്നു ഏലീയാവിന്നും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁶ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു ഏറ്റവും ഭയപ്പെട്ടു കവിണ്ണുവീണു.

⁷യേശു അടുത്തു ചെന്നു അവരെ തൊട്ടു: “എഴുന്നേല്പിൻ , ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁸അവർ തലപൊക്കിയാറെ യേശുവിനെ മാത്രമല്ലാതെ ആരെയും കണ്ടില്ല.

⁹അവൻ മലയിൽ നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങുമ്പോൾ യേശു അവരോടു: “മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിന്നു ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേലക്കുംവരെ ഈ ദർശനം ആരോടും പറയരുതു” എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

¹⁰ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനോടു: എന്നാൽ ഏലീയാവു മുമ്പെ വരേണ്ടതു എന്നു ശാസ്ത്രിമാർ പറയുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

¹¹അതിന്നു അവൻ : “ഏലീയാവു വന്നു സകലവും യഥാസ്ഥാനത്താക്കും സത്യം.

¹²എന്നാൽ ഏലീയാവു വന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞു എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അവർ അവനെ അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളാതെ തങ്ങൾക്കു തോന്നിയതു എല്ലാം അവനോടു ചെയ്തു. അവ്വണ്ണം മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്നും അവരാൽ കഷ്ടപ്പെടുവാനുണ്ടു” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

¹³അവൻ യോഹന്നാൻ സ്നാപകനെക്കുറിച്ചു തങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാർ ഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

¹³You shall keep the feast of booths seven days, after you have gathered in from your threshing floor and from your wine press.

¹⁴You shall rejoice in your feast, you, your son, your daughter, your male servant, your female servant, the Levite, the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow who are within your gates.

¹⁵You shall keep a feast to Yahweh your God seven days in the place which Yahweh chooses, because Yahweh your God will bless you in all your increase and in all the work of your hands, and you shall be altogether joyful.

¹⁶Three times in a year all of your males shall appear before Yahweh your God in the place which he chooses: in the feast of unleavened bread, in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of booths. They shall not appear before Yahweh empty.

¹⁷Every man shall give as he is able, according to Yahweh your God’s blessing which he has given you.

¹³കളത്തിലെ ധാന്യവും ചക്കിലെ വീഞ്ഞും ശേഖരിച്ചുകഴിയുമ്പോൾ നീ ഏഴു ദിവസം കൂടാരപ്പെരുനാൾ ആചരിക്കേണം.

¹⁴ഈ പെരുനാളിൽ നീയും നിന്റെ മകനും മകളും നിന്റെ ദാസനും ദാസിയും നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലുള്ള ലേവ്യനും പരദേശിയും അനാഥനും വിധവയും സന്തോഷിക്കേണം.

¹⁵യഹോവ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു ഏഴു ദിവസം പെരുനാൾ ആചരിക്കേണം; നിന്റെ അനുഭവത്തിൽ ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെ കൈകളുടെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തിയിലും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും; അതുകൊണ്ടു നീ വേണ്ടുംവണ്ണം സന്തോഷിക്കേണം.

¹⁶നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു നിന്റെ ആണുങ്ങളൊക്കെയും പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തിന്റെ പെരുനാളിലും വാരോത്സവത്തിലും കൂടാരപ്പെരുനാളിലും ഇങ്ങനെ സംവത്സരത്തിൽ മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യം അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വരേണം; എന്നാൽ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വെറുങ്കയ്യായി വരരുതു.

¹⁷നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തന്നിട്ടുള്ള അനുഗ്രഹത്തിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം ഔരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ പ്രാപ്തിപോലെ കൊണ്ടുവരേണം.

²³Whoever denies the Son doesn’t have the Father. He who confesses the Son has the Father also.

²⁴Therefore, as for you, let that remain in you which you heard from the beginning. If that which you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son, and in the Father.

²⁵This is the promise which he promised us, the eternal life.

²⁶These things I have written to you concerning those who would lead you astray.

²⁷As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.

²⁸Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

²⁹If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.

¹See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him.

²³പുത്രനെ നിഷേധിക്കുന്നവന്നു പിതാവുമില്ല; പുത്രനെ സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നവന്നു പിതാവും ഉണ്ടു.

²⁴നിങ്ങൾ ആദിമുതൽ കേട്ടതു നിങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കട്ടെ. ആദിമുതൽ കേട്ടതു നിങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾ പുത്രനിലും പിതാവിലും വസിക്കും.

²⁵ഇതാകുന്നു അവൻ നമുക്കു തന്ന വാഗ്ദത്തം: നിത്യജീവൻ തന്നേ.

²⁶നിങ്ങളെ തെറ്റിക്കുന്നവരെ ഓൎത്തു ഞാൻ ഇതു നിങ്ങൾക്കു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

²⁷അവനാൽ പ്രാപിച്ച അഭിഷേകം നിങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു; ആരും നിങ്ങളെ ഉപദേശിപ്പാൻ ആവശ്യമില്ല; അവന്റെ അഭിഷേകം തന്നേ നിങ്ങൾക്കു സകലവും ഉപദേശിച്ചുതരികയാലും അതു ഭോഷ്ക്കല്ല സത്യം തന്നേ ആയിരിക്കയാലും അതു നിങ്ങളെ ഉപദേശിച്ചതുപോലെ നിങ്ങൾ അവനിൽ വസിപ്പിൻ.

²⁵For I don’t desire you to be ignorant, brothers, of this mystery, so that you won’t be wise in your own conceits, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in,

²⁶and so all Israel will be saved. Even as it is written,

²⁷This is my covenant with them,

²⁸Concerning the Good News, they are enemies for your sake. But concerning the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sake.

²⁹For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

³⁰For as you in time past were disobedient to God, but now have obtained mercy by their disobedience,

³¹even so these also have now been disobedient, that by the mercy shown to you they may also obtain mercy.

³²For God has bound all to disobedience, that he might have mercy on all.

³³Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out!

³⁴“For who has known the mind of the Lord?

³⁵“Or who has first given to him,

³⁶For of him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen.

²⁸സുവിശേഷം സംബന്ധിച്ചു അവർ നിങ്ങൾ നിമിത്തം ശത്രുക്കൾ; തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പു സംബന്ധിച്ചോ പിതാക്കന്മാർനിമിത്തം പ്രിയന്മാർ.

²⁹ദൈവം തന്റെ കൃപാവരങ്ങളെയും വിളിയെയും കുറിച്ചു അനുതപിക്കുന്നില്ലല്ലോ.

³⁰നിങ്ങൾ മുമ്പെ ദൈവത്തെ അനുസരിക്കാതിരുന്നിട്ടു അവരുടെ അനുസരണക്കേടിനാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ കരുണ ലഭിച്ചതുപോലെ,

³¹നിങ്ങൾക്കു ലഭിച്ച കരുണയാൽ അവർക്കും കരുണ ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരും ഇപ്പോൾ അനുസരിക്കാതിരിക്കുന്നു.

³²ദൈവം എല്ലാവരോടും കരുണ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു എല്ലാവരെയും അനുസരണക്കേടിൽ അടെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

³³ഹാ, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ധനം, ജ്ഞാനം, അറിവു എന്നിവയുടെ ആഴമേ! അവന്റെ ന്യായവിധികൾ എത്ര അപ്രമേയവും അവന്റെ വഴികൾ എത്ര അഗോചരവും ആകുന്നു.

³⁴കർത്താവിന്റെ മനസ്സു അറിഞ്ഞവൻ ആർ?

³⁵അവന്നു മന്ത്രിയായിരുന്നവൻ ആർ? അവന്നു വല്ലതും മുമ്പെ കൊടുത്തിട്ടു പ്രതിഫലം വാങ്ങുന്നവൻ ആർ?

³⁶സകലവും അവനിൽ നിന്നു അവനാലും അവങ്കലേക്കും ആകുന്നുവല്ലോ; അവന്നു എന്നേക്കും മഹത്വം ആമേൻ .

²⁷But I tell you the truth: There are some of those who stand here who will in no way taste of death until they see God’s Kingdom.”

²⁸About eight days after these sayings, he took with him Peter, John, and James, and went up onto the mountain to pray.

²⁹As he was praying, the appearance of his face was altered, and his clothing became white and dazzling.

³⁰Behold, two men were talking with him, who were Moses and Elijah,

³¹who appeared in glory and spoke of his departure, which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.

³²Now Peter and those who were with him were heavy with sleep, but when they were fully awake, they saw his glory, and the two men who stood with him.

³³As they were parting from him, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here. Let’s make three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah,” not knowing what he said.

³⁴While he said these things, a cloud came and overshadowed them, and they were afraid as they entered into the cloud.

³⁵A voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him!”

³⁶When the voice came, Jesus was found alone. They were silent, and told no one in those days any of the things which they had seen.

²⁷എന്നാൽ ദൈവരാജ്യം കാണുവോളം മരണം ആസ്വദിക്കാത്തവർ ചിലർ ഇവിടെ നിൽക്കുന്നവരിൽ ഉണ്ടു സത്യം എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.
