¹³No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.

¹⁴As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

¹⁵that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

¹⁶For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

¹⁷For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.

¹⁸He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God.

¹⁹This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil.

²⁰For everyone who does evil hates the light and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed.

²¹But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.”

¹³സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്ന (വനായി സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നവനായ) മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ അല്ലാതെ ആരും സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കയറീട്ടില്ല.

¹⁶തന്റെ ഏകജാതനായ പുത്രനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും നശിച്ചുപോകാതെ നിത്യജീവൻ പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ദൈവം അവനെ നലകുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ലോകത്തെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു.

¹⁷ദൈവം തന്റെ പുത്രനെ ലോകത്തിൽ അയച്ചതു ലോകത്തെ വിധിപ്പാനല്ല ലോകം അവനാൽ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവാനത്രേ.

¹⁹ന്യായവിധി എന്നതോ, വെളിച്ചം ലോകത്തിൽ വന്നിട്ടും മനുഷ്യരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തി ദോഷമുള്ളതു ആകയാൽ അവർ വെളിച്ചത്തെക്കാൾ ഇരുളിനെ സ്നേഹിച്ചതു തന്നേ.

²⁰തിന്മ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം വെളിച്ചത്തെ പകെക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു ആക്ഷേപം വരാതിരിപ്പാൻ വെളിച്ചത്തിങ്കലേക്കു വരുന്നതുമില്ല.

²²While they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is about to be delivered up into the hands of men,

²³and they will kill him, and the third day he will be raised up.”

²⁴When they had come to Capernaum, those who collected the didrachma coins came to Peter, and said, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the didrachma?”

²⁵He said, “Yes.”

²⁶Peter said to him, “From strangers.”

²⁷But, lest we cause them to stumble, go to the sea, cast a hook, and take up the first fish that comes up. When you have opened its mouth, you will find a stater coin. Take that, and give it to them for me and you.”

²²അവർ ഗലീലയിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു അവരോടു: “മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുവാറായിരിക്കുന്നു.

²⁷എങ്കിലും നാം അവർക്കും ഇടർച്ച വരുത്താതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ കടലീലേക്കു ചെന്നു ചൂണ്ടൽ ഇട്ടു ആദ്യം കിട്ടുന്ന മീനിനെ എടുക്ക; അതിന്റെ വായ് തുറക്കുമ്പോൾ ഒരു ചതുർദ്രഹ്മപ്പണം കാണും; അതു എടുത്തു എനിക്കും നിനക്കും വേണ്ടി കൊടുക്ക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁴They traveled from Mount Hor by the way to the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom. The soul of the people was very discouraged because of the journey.

⁵The people spoke against God and against Moses: “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, there is no water, and our soul loathes this disgusting food!”

⁶Yahweh sent venomous snakes among the people, and they bit the people. Many people of Israel died.

⁷The people came to Moses, and said, “We have sinned, because we have spoken against Yahweh and against you. Pray to Yahweh, that he take away the serpents from us.” Moses prayed for the people.

⁸Yahweh said to Moses, “Make a venomous snake, and set it on a pole. It shall happen that everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.”

⁹Moses made a serpent of bronze, and set it on the pole. If a serpent had bitten any man, when he looked at the serpent of bronze, he lived.

⁴പിന്നെ അവർ എദോംദേശത്തെ ചുറ്റിപ്പോകുവാൻ ഹോർപർവ്വതത്തിങ്കൽനിന്നു ചെങ്കടൽവഴിയായി യാത്രപുറപ്പെട്ടു; വഴിനിമിത്തം ജനത്തിന്റെ മനസ്സു ക്ഷീണിച്ചു.

⁹അങ്ങനെ മോശെ താമ്രംകൊണ്ടു ഒരു സർപ്പത്തെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി കൊടിമരത്തിന്മേൽ തൂക്കി; പിന്നെ സർപ്പം ആരെയെങ്കിലും കടിച്ചിട്ടു അവൻ താമ്രസർപ്പത്തെ നോക്കിയാൽ ജീവിക്കും.

¹I will bless Yahweh at all times.

²My soul shall boast in Yahweh.

³Oh magnify Yahweh with me.

⁴I sought Yahweh, and he answered me,

⁵They looked to him, and were radiant.

⁶This poor man cried, and Yahweh heard him,

⁷Yahweh’s angel encamps around those who fear him,

⁸Oh taste and see that Yahweh is good.

⁹Oh fear Yahweh, you his saints,

¹ഞാൻ യഹോവയെ എല്ലാകാലത്തും വാഴ്ത്തും; അവന്റെ സ്തുതി എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ നാവിന്മേൽ ഇരിക്കും.

⁶In that day I will make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire among wood, and like a flaming torch among sheaves. They will devour all the surrounding peoples on the right hand and on the left; and Jerusalem will yet again dwell in their own place, even in Jerusalem.

⁷Yahweh also will save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of David’s house and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem not be magnified above Judah.

⁸In that day Yahweh will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem. He who is feeble among them at that day will be like David, and David’s house will be like God, like Yahweh’s angel before them.

⁹It will happen in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

¹⁰I will pour on David’s house and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of grace and of supplication. They will look to me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him as one mourns for his only son, and will grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for his firstborn.

¹¹In that day there will be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddo.

¹²The land will mourn, every family apart; the family of David’s house apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

¹³the family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of the Shimeites apart, and their wives apart;

¹⁴all the families who remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.

⁶അന്നാളിൽ ഞാൻ യെഹൂദാമേധാവികളെ വിറകിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ തീച്ചട്ടിപോലെയും കറ്റയുടെ ഇടയിൽ തീപ്പന്തംപോലെയും ആക്കും; അവർ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തും ഇടത്തുഭാഗത്തും ചുറ്റുമുള്ള സകലജാതികളെയും തിന്നുകളയും; യെരൂശലേമിന്നു സ്വസ്ഥാനത്തു, യെരൂശലേമിൽ തന്നേ, വീണ്ടും നിവാസികൾ ഉണ്ടാകും.

¹³ലേവിഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ കുലം പ്രത്യേകവും അവരുടെ സ്ത്രീജനം പ്രത്യേകവും; ശിമെയി കുലം പ്രത്യേകവും; അവരുടെ സ്ത്രീജനം പ്രത്യേകവും;

¹⁴ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന കുലങ്ങളൊക്കെയും അതതു കുലം പ്രത്യേകവും അവരുടെ സ്ത്രീജനം പ്രത്യേകവും വിലപിക്കും.

²²Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole assembly, to choose men out of their company, and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas: Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, chief men among the brothers.

²³They wrote these things by their hand:

²⁴Because we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, ‘You must be circumcised and keep the law,’ to whom we gave no commandment;

²⁵it seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose out men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

²⁶men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

²⁷We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who themselves will also tell you the same things by word of mouth.

²⁸For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay no greater burden on you than these necessary things:

²⁹that you abstain from things sacrificed to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality, from which if you keep yourselves, it will be well with you. Farewell.”

³⁰So, when they were sent off, they came to Antioch. Having gathered the multitude together, they delivered the letter.

³¹When they had read it, they rejoiced over the encouragement.

³²Judas and Silas, also being prophets themselves, encouraged the brothers with many words and strengthened them.

³³After they had spent some time there, they were dismissed in peace from the brothers to the apostles.

³³കുറെനാൾ താമസിച്ചശേഷം സഹോദരന്മാർ അവരെ അയച്ചവരുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു സമാധാനത്തോടെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു.

¹It is indeed unnecessary for me to write to you concerning the service to the saints,

²for I know your readiness, of which I boast on your behalf to those of Macedonia, that Achaia has been prepared for the past year. Your zeal has stirred up very many of them.

³But I have sent the brothers so that our boasting on your behalf may not be in vain in this respect, that, just as I said, you may be prepared,

⁴lest by any means, if anyone from Macedonia comes there with me and finds you unprepared, we (to say nothing of you) would be disappointed in this confident boasting.

⁵I thought it necessary therefore to entreat the brothers that they would go before to you and arrange ahead of time the generous gift that you promised before, that the same might be ready as a matter of generosity, and not of greediness.

⁶Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

⁷Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

⁸And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work.

⁹As it is written,

¹⁰Now may he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness,

¹¹you being enriched in everything for all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God through us.

¹²For this service of giving that you perform not only makes up for lack among the saints, but abounds also through much giving of thanks to God,

¹³seeing that through the proof given by this service, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the Good News of Christ and for the generosity of your contribution to them and to all,

¹⁴while they themselves also, with supplication on your behalf, yearn for you by reason of the exceeding grace of God in you.

¹⁵Now thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift!

⁶എന്നാൽ ലോഭമായി വിതെക്കുന്നവൻ ലോഭമായി കൊയ്യും; ധാരാളമായി വിതെക്കുന്നവൻ ധാരളമായി കൊയ്യും എന്നു ഔർത്തുകൊൾവിൻ .

⁸നിങ്ങൾ സകലത്തിലും എപ്പോഴും പൂർണ്ണതൃപ്തിയുള്ളവരായി സകല സൽപ്രവൃത്തിയിലും പെരുകി വരുമാറു നിങ്ങളിൽ സകലകൃപയും പെരുക്കുവാൻ ദൈവം ശക്തൻ ആകുന്നു.

⁹“അവൻ വാരിവിതറി ദരിദ്രന്മാർക്കും കൊടുക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നീതി എന്നേക്കും നിലനിലക്കുന്നു” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

¹⁰എന്നാൽ വിതെക്കുന്നവന്നു വിത്തും ഭക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ആഹാരവും നലകുന്നവൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ വിതയും നല്കി പൊലിപ്പിക്കയും നിങ്ങളുടെ നീതിയുടെ വിളവു വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

¹¹ഇങ്ങനെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു ഞങ്ങളാൽ സ്തോത്രം വരുവാൻ കാരണമായിരിക്കുന്ന ഔദാർയ്യം ഒക്കെയും കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ സകലത്തിലും സമ്പന്നന്മാർ ആകും.

¹²ഈ നടത്തുന്ന ധർമ്മശേഖരം വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ ബദ്ധിമുട്ടു തീർക്കുംന്നതുമല്ലാതെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു അനവധി സ്തോത്രം വരുവാൻ കാരണവും ആകുന്നു.

¹³ഈ സഹായത്താൽ തെളിയുന്ന സിദ്ധത ഹേതുവായി ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സുവിശേഷം നിങ്ങൾ സ്വീകരിച്ച അനുസരണംനിമിത്തവും അവരോടും എല്ലാവരോടും നിങ്ങൾ കാണിക്കുന്ന കൂട്ടായ്മയുടെ ഔദാർയ്യം നിമിത്തവും അവർ ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും.

¹⁴നിങ്ങൾക്കു ലഭിച്ച അതിമഹത്തായ ദൈവകൃപനിമിത്തം അവർ നിങ്ങളെ കാണ്മാൻ വാഞ്ഛിച്ചു നിങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടി പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കും.

¹⁵പറഞ്ഞുതീരാത്ത ദാനം നിമിത്തം ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം.

¹³No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.

¹⁴As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

¹⁵that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

¹⁶For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

¹⁷For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.

¹⁸He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God.

¹⁶തന്റെ ഏകജാതനായ പുത്രനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും നശിച്ചുപോകാതെ നിത്യജീവൻ പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ദൈവം അവനെ നലകുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ലോകത്തെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു.

¹⁷ദൈവം തന്റെ പുത്രനെ ലോകത്തിൽ അയച്ചതു ലോകത്തെ വിധിപ്പാനല്ല ലോകം അവനാൽ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവാനത്രേ.

¹⁸അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു ന്യായവിധി ഇല്ല; വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവന്നു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഏകജതാനായ പുത്രന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കായ്കയാൽ ന്യായവിധി വന്നുകഴിഞ്ഞു.

¹⁹ന്യായവിധി എന്നതോ, വെളിച്ചം ലോകത്തിൽ വന്നിട്ടും മനുഷ്യരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തി ദോഷമുള്ളതു ആകയാൽ അവർ വെളിച്ചത്തെക്കാൾ ഇരുളിനെ സ്നേഹിച്ചതു തന്നേ.

²⁰തിന്മ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം വെളിച്ചത്തെ പകെക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു ആക്ഷേപം വരാതിരിപ്പാൻ വെളിച്ചത്തിങ്കലേക്കു വരുന്നതുമില്ല.

²¹സത്യം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവനോ, തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി ദൈവത്തിൽ ചെയ്തിരിക്കയാൽ അതു വെളിപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു വെളിച്ചത്തിങ്കലേക്കു വരുന്നു.
