📖St. John 11:14–46യോഹന്നാൻ 11:14–46Read passage
14So Jesus said to them plainly then, “Lazarus is dead.
15I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, so that you may believe. Nevertheless, let’s go to him.”
16Thomas therefore, who is called Didymus, said to his fellow disciples, “Let’s also go, that we may die with him.”
17So when Jesus came, he found that he had been in the tomb four days already.
18Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about fifteen stadia away.
19Many of the Jews had joined the women around Martha and Mary, to console them concerning their brother.
20Then when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary stayed in the house.
21Therefore Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you would have been here, my brother wouldn’t have died.
22Even now I know that whatever you ask of God, God will give you.”
23Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”
24Martha said to him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”
25Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies.
26Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
27She said to him, “Yes, Lord. I have come to believe that you are the Christ, God’s Son, he who comes into the world.”
28When she had said this, she went away and called Mary, her sister, secretly, saying, “The Teacher is here and is calling you.”
29When she heard this, she arose quickly and went to him.
30Now Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was in the place where Martha met him.
31Then the Jews who were with her in the house and were consoling her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, “She is going to the tomb to weep there.”
32Therefore when Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying to him, “Lord, if you would have been here, my brother wouldn’t have died.”
33When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews weeping who came with her, he groaned in the spirit and was troubled,
34and said, “Where have you laid him?”
35Jesus wept.
36The Jews therefore said, “See how much affection he had for him!”
37Some of them said, “Couldn’t this man, who opened the eyes of him who was blind, have also kept this man from dying?”
38Jesus therefore, again groaning in himself, came to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone lay against it.
39Jesus said, “Take away the stone.”
40Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed, you would see God’s glory?”
41So they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, “Father, I thank you that you listened to me.
42I know that you always listen to me, but because of the multitude standing around I said this, that they may believe that you sent me.”
43When he had said this, he cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”
44He who was dead came out, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth.
45Therefore many of the Jews who came to Mary and saw what Jesus did believed in him.
46But some of them went away to the Pharisees and told them the things which Jesus had done.
14അപ്പോൾ യേശു സ്പഷ്ടമായി അവരോടു: ലാസർ മരിച്ചുപോയി;
15ഞാൻ അവിടെ ഇല്ലാഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളെ വിചാരിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിപ്പാൻ ഇടയാകുമല്ലോ; എന്നാൽ നാം അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
16ദിദിമൊസ് എന്നു പേരുള്ള തോമസ് സഹശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു: അവനോടു കൂടെ മരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നാമും പോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
17യേശു അവിടെ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ അവനെ കല്ലറയിൽ വെച്ചിട്ടു നാലുദിവസമായി എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞു.
18ബേഥാന്യ യെരൂശലേമിന്നരികെ ഏകദേശം രണ്ടു നാഴിക ദൂരത്തായിരുന്നു.
19മാർത്തയെയും മറിയയെയും സഹോദരനെക്കുറിച്ചു ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പല യെഹൂദന്മാരും അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നിരുന്നു.
20യേശു വരുന്നു എന്നു കേട്ടിട്ടു മാർത്ത അവനെ എതിരേല്പാൻ ചെന്നു; മറിയയോ വീട്ടിൽ ഇരുന്നു.
21മാർത്ത യേശുവിനോടു: കർത്താവേ, നീ ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ എന്റെ സഹോദരൻ മരിക്കയില്ലായിരുന്നു.
22ഇപ്പോഴും നീ ദൈവത്തോടു എന്തു അപേക്ഷിച്ചാലും ദൈവം നിനക്കു തരും എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
23യേശു അവളോടു: നിന്റെ സഹോദരൻ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേലക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
24മാർത്ത അവനോടു: ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളിലെ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിൽ അവൻ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേലക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
25യേശു അവളോടു: ഞാൻ തന്നേ പുനരുത്ഥാനവും ജീവനും ആകുന്നു; എന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവൻ മരിച്ചാലും ജീവിക്കും.
26ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു എന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവൻ ആരും ഒരു നാളും മരിക്കയില്ല; ഇതു നീ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
27അവൾ അവനോടു: ഉവ്വു, കർത്താവേ, ലോകത്തിൽ വരുവാനുള്ള ദൈവപുത്രനായ ക്രിസ്തു നീ തന്നേ എന്നു ഞാൻ വിശ്വസിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു
28പോയി തന്റെ സഹോദരിയായ മറിയയെ സ്വകാര്യമായി വിളിച്ചു: ഗുരു വന്നിട്ടുണ്ടു നിന്നെ വിളിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
29അവൾ കേട്ട ഉടനെ എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു.
30യേശു അതുവരെ ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ കടക്കാതെ മാർത്ത അവനെ എതിരേറ്റ സ്ഥലത്തു തന്നേ ആയിരുന്നു.
31വീട്ടിൽ അവളോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു അവളെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാർ, മറിയ വേഗം എഴുന്നേറ്റു പോകുന്നതു കണ്ടിട്ടു അവൾ കല്ലറെക്കൽ കരവാൻ പോകുന്നു എന്നു വിചാരിച്ചു പിൻ ചെന്നു.
32യേശു ഇരിക്കുന്നേടത്തു മറിയ എത്തി അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു അവന്റെ കാൽക്കൽ വീണു: കർത്താവേ, നീ ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ എന്റെ സഹോദരൻ മരിക്കയില്ലായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
33അവൾ കരയുന്നതും അവളോടുകൂടെ വന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാർ കരയുന്നതും യേശു കണ്ടിട്ടു ഉള്ളം നൊന്തു കലങ്ങി:
34അവനെ വെച്ചതു എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. കർത്താവേ, വന്നു കാൺക എന്നു അവർ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
35യേശു കണ്ണുനീർ വാർത്തു.
36ആകയാൽ യെഹൂദന്മാർ: കണ്ടോ അവനോടു എത്ര പ്രിയം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
37ചിലരോ: കുരുടന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്ന ഇവന്നു ഇവനെയും മരിക്കാതാക്കുവാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
38യേശു പിന്നെയും ഉള്ളംനൊന്തു കല്ലറെക്കൽ എത്തി; അതു ഒരു ഗുഹ ആയിരുന്നു; ഒരു കല്ലും അതിന്മേൽ വെച്ചിരുന്നു.
39കല്ലു നീക്കുവിൻ എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞു മരിച്ചവന്റെ സഹോദരിയായ മാർത്ത: കർത്താവേ, നാറ്റം വെച്ചുതുടങ്ങി; നാലുദിവസമായല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
40യേശു അവളോടു: വിശ്വസിച്ചാൽ നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വം കാണും എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞില്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
41അവർ കല്ലു നീക്കി. യേശു മേലോട്ടു നോക്കി: പിതാവേ, നീ എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടതിനാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വാഴ്ത്തുന്നു.
42നീ എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേൾക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും നീ എന്നെ അയച്ചു എന്നു ചുറ്റും നിലക്കുന്ന പുരുഷാരം വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

44മരിച്ചവൻ പുറത്തുവന്നു; അവന്റെ കാലും കയ്യും ശീലകൊണ്ടു കെട്ടിയും മുഖം റൂമാൽകൊണ്ടു മൂടിയുമിരുന്നു. അവന്റെ കെട്ടു അഴിപ്പിൻ ; അവൻ പോകട്ടെ എന്നു യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
45മറിയയുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാരിൽ പലരും അവൻ ചെയ്തതു കണ്ടിട്ടു അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചു.
46എന്നാൽ ചിലർ പരീശന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പോയി യേശു ചെയ്തതു അവരോടു അറിയിച്ചു.

38As they went on their way, he entered into a certain village, and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
39She had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard his word.
40But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she came up to him, and said, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister left me to serve alone? Ask her therefore to help me.”
41Jesus answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things,
42but one thing is needed. Mary has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
38പിന്നെ അവർ യാത്രപോകയിൽ അവൻ ഒരു ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ എത്തി; മാർത്താ എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഒരു സ്ത്രീ അവനെ വീട്ടിൽ കൈക്കൊണ്ടു.

31If a man redeems anything of his tithe, he shall add a fifth part to it.
32All the tithe of the herds or the flocks, whatever passes under the rod, the tenth shall be holy to Yahweh.
33He shall not examine whether it is good or bad, neither shall he exchange it. If he exchanges it at all, then both it and that for which it is exchanged shall be holy. It shall not be redeemed.’ ”
30നിലത്തിലെ വിത്തിലും വൃക്ഷത്തിന്റെ ഫലത്തിലും ദേശത്തിലെ ദശാംശം ഒക്കെയും യഹോവേക്കുള്ളതു ആകുന്നു; അതു യഹോവേക്കു വിശുദ്ധം.

1You were made alive when you were dead in transgressions and sins,

3We also all once lived among them in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.
4But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us,
5even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
6and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

17നിങ്ങളെ ഔർത്തുംകൊണ്ടു നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ദൈവവും മഹത്വമുള്ള പിതാവുമായവൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിൽ ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെയും വെളിപ്പാടിന്റെയും ആത്മാവിനെ തരേണ്ടതിന്നും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയദൃഷ്ടി പ്രകാശിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടു
18അവന്റെ വിളിയാലുള്ള ആശ ഇന്നതെന്നും വിശുദ്ധന്മാരൽ അവന്റെ അവകാശത്തിന്റെ മഹിമാധനം ഇന്നതെന്നും അവന്റെ ബലത്തിൻ വല്ലഭത്വത്തിന്റെ വ്യാപാരത്താൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന
19നമുക്കുവേണ്ടി വ്യാപരിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ ശക്തിയുടെ അളവറ്റ വലിപ്പം ഇന്നതെന്നും നിങ്ങൾ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നും പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു.
20അങ്ങനെ അവൻ ക്രിസ്തുവിലും വ്യാപരിച്ചു അവനെ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു ഉയിർപ്പിക്കയും
21സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ തന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു എല്ലാ വാഴ്ചെക്കും അധികാരത്തിന്നും ശക്തിക്കും കർത്തൃത്വത്തിന്നും ഈ ലോകത്തിൽ മാത്രമല്ല വരുവാനുള്ളതിലും വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന സകല നാമത്തിന്നും അത്യന്തം മീതെ ഇരുത്തുകയും
22സർവ്വവും അവന്റെ കാൽക്കീഴാക്കിവെച്ചു അവനെ സർവ്വത്തിന്നും മീതെ തലയാക്കി
23എല്ലാറ്റിലും എല്ലാം നിറെക്കുന്നവന്റെ നിറവായിരിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ ശരീരമായ സഭെക്കു കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
1അതിക്രമങ്ങളാലും പാപങ്ങളാലും മരിച്ചവരായിരുന്ന നിങ്ങളെയും അവൻ ഉയിർപ്പിച്ചു.
2അവയിൽ നിങ്ങൾ മുമ്പെ ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ കാലഗതിയെയും ആകാശത്തിലെ അധികാരത്തിന്നും അനുസരണക്കേടിന്റെ മക്കളിൽ ഇപ്പോൾ വ്യാപരിക്കുന്ന ആത്മാവിന്നും അധിപതിയായവനെയും അനുസരിച്ചു നടന്നു.
3അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ നാം എല്ലാവരും മുമ്പെ നമ്മുടെ ജഡമോഹങ്ങളിൽ നടന്നു ജഡത്തിന്നും മനോവികാരങ്ങൾക്കും ഇഷ്ടമായതു ചെയ്തുംകൊണ്ടു മറ്റുള്ളവരെപ്പോലെ പ്രകൃതിയാൽ കോപത്തിന്റെ മക്കൾ ആയിരുന്നു.
4കരുണാസമ്പന്നനായ ദൈവമോ നമ്മെ സ്നേഹിച്ച മഹാ സ്നേഹംനിമിത്തം
5അതിക്രമങ്ങളാൽ മരിച്ചവരായിരുന്ന നമ്മെ ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടു കൂടെ ജീവിപ്പിക്കയും — കൃപയാലത്രേ നിങ്ങൾ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു —

28When she had said this, she went away and called Mary, her sister, secretly, saying, “The Teacher is here and is calling you.”
29When she heard this, she arose quickly and went to him.
30Now Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was in the place where Martha met him.
31Then the Jews who were with her in the house and were consoling her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, “She is going to the tomb to weep there.”
32Therefore when Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying to him, “Lord, if you would have been here, my brother wouldn’t have died.”
33When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews weeping who came with her, he groaned in the spirit and was troubled,
34and said, “Where have you laid him?”
35Jesus wept.
36The Jews therefore said, “See how much affection he had for him!”
37Some of them said, “Couldn’t this man, who opened the eyes of him who was blind, have also kept this man from dying?”
38Jesus therefore, again groaning in himself, came to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone lay against it.
39Jesus said, “Take away the stone.”
40Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed, you would see God’s glory?”
41So they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, “Father, I thank you that you listened to me.
42I know that you always listen to me, but because of the multitude standing around I said this, that they may believe that you sent me.”
43When he had said this, he cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”
44He who was dead came out, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth.
45Therefore many of the Jews who came to Mary and saw what Jesus did believed in him.
46But some of them went away to the Pharisees and told them the things which Jesus had done.

32യേശു ഇരിക്കുന്നേടത്തു മറിയ എത്തി അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു അവന്റെ കാൽക്കൽ വീണു: കർത്താവേ, നീ ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ എന്റെ സഹോദരൻ മരിക്കയില്ലായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
33അവൾ കരയുന്നതും അവളോടുകൂടെ വന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാർ കരയുന്നതും യേശു കണ്ടിട്ടു ഉള്ളം നൊന്തു കലങ്ങി:
34അവനെ വെച്ചതു എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. കർത്താവേ, വന്നു കാൺക എന്നു അവർ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
35യേശു കണ്ണുനീർ വാർത്തു.
36ആകയാൽ യെഹൂദന്മാർ: കണ്ടോ അവനോടു എത്ര പ്രിയം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
37ചിലരോ: കുരുടന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്ന ഇവന്നു ഇവനെയും മരിക്കാതാക്കുവാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
38യേശു പിന്നെയും ഉള്ളംനൊന്തു കല്ലറെക്കൽ എത്തി; അതു ഒരു ഗുഹ ആയിരുന്നു; ഒരു കല്ലും അതിന്മേൽ വെച്ചിരുന്നു.
39കല്ലു നീക്കുവിൻ എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞു മരിച്ചവന്റെ സഹോദരിയായ മാർത്ത: കർത്താവേ, നാറ്റം വെച്ചുതുടങ്ങി; നാലുദിവസമായല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
40യേശു അവളോടു: വിശ്വസിച്ചാൽ നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വം കാണും എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞില്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
41അവർ കല്ലു നീക്കി. യേശു മേലോട്ടു നോക്കി: പിതാവേ, നീ എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടതിനാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വാഴ്ത്തുന്നു.
42നീ എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേൾക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും നീ എന്നെ അയച്ചു എന്നു ചുറ്റും നിലക്കുന്ന പുരുഷാരം വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
43ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവൻ : ലാസരേ, പുറത്തുവരിക എന്നു ഉറക്കെ വിളിച്ചു.
44മരിച്ചവൻ പുറത്തുവന്നു; അവന്റെ കാലും കയ്യും ശീലകൊണ്ടു കെട്ടിയും മുഖം റൂമാൽകൊണ്ടു മൂടിയുമിരുന്നു. അവന്റെ കെട്ടു അഴിപ്പിൻ ; അവൻ പോകട്ടെ എന്നു യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
45മറിയയുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാരിൽ പലരും അവൻ ചെയ്തതു കണ്ടിട്ടു അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചു.
46എന്നാൽ ചിലർ പരീശന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പോയി യേശു ചെയ്തതു അവരോടു അറിയിച്ചു.
