³⁸Then certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.”

³⁹But he answered them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, but no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet.

⁴⁰For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the huge fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

⁴¹The men of Nineveh will stand up in the judgment with this generation and will condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, someone greater than Jonah is here.

⁴²The Queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with this generation and will condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, someone greater than Solomon is here.

⁴³“When an unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he passes through waterless places seeking rest, and doesn’t find it.

⁴⁴Then he says, ‘I will return into my house from which I came;’ and when he has come back, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order.

⁴⁵Then he goes and takes with himself seven other spirits more evil than he is, and they enter in and dwell there. The last state of that man becomes worse than the first. Even so will it be also to this evil generation.”

⁴⁶While he was yet speaking to the multitudes, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, seeking to speak to him.

⁴⁷One said to him, “Behold, your mother and your brothers stand outside, seeking to speak to you.”

⁴⁸But he answered him who spoke to him, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”

⁴⁹He stretched out his hand toward his disciples, and said, “Behold, my mother and my brothers!

⁵⁰For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.”

³⁸അപ്പോൾ ശാസ്ത്രിമാരിലും പരീശന്മാരിലും ചിലർ അവനോടു: ഗുരോ, നീ ഒരു അടയാളം ചെയ്തുകാണ്മാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു:

⁴⁶അവൻ പുരുഷാരത്തോടു സംസാരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കയിൽ അവന്റെ അമ്മയും സഹോദരന്മാരും അവനോടു സംസാരിപ്പാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു പുറത്തു നിന്നു.

⁴⁷ഒരുത്തൻ അവനോടു: നിന്റെ അമ്മയും സഹോദരന്മാരും നിന്നോടു സംസാരിപ്പാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു പുറത്തുനിലക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁴⁸അതു പറഞ്ഞവനോടു അവൻ : “എന്റെ അമ്മ ആർ എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ ആർ” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

⁴⁹ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ നേരെ കൈ നീട്ടി: “ഇതാ, എന്റെ അമ്മയും എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും.

⁵⁰സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ എന്റെ സഹോദരനും സഹോദരിയും അമ്മയും ആകുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

³⁰“He who is not with me is against me, and he who doesn’t gather with me, scatters.

³¹Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.

³²Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in that which is to come.

³³“Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree corrupt and its fruit corrupt; for the tree is known by its fruit.

³⁴You offspring of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

³⁵The good man out of his good treasure brings out good things, and the evil man out of his evil treasure brings out evil things.

³⁶I tell you that every idle word that men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.

³⁷For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

³⁰എനിക്കു അനുകൂലമല്ലാത്തവൻ എനിക്കു പ്രതിക്കുലം ആകുന്നു; എന്നോടുകൂടെ ചേർക്കാത്തവൻ ചിതറിക്കുന്നു.

³¹അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നതു: സകലപാപവും ദൂഷണവും മനുഷ്യരോടു ക്ഷമിക്കും; ആത്മാവിന്നു നേരെയുള്ള ദൂഷണമോ ക്ഷമിക്കയില്ല.

³²ആരെങ്കിലും മനുഷ്യ പുത്രന്നു നേരെ ഒരു വാക്കു പറഞ്ഞാൽ അതു അവനോടു ക്ഷമിക്കും; പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിന്നു നേരെ പറഞ്ഞാലോ ഈ ലോകത്തിലും വരുവാനുള്ളതിലും അവനോടു ക്ഷമിക്കയില്ല.

³³ഒന്നുകിൽ വൃക്ഷം നല്ലതു, ഫലവും നല്ലതു എന്നു വെപ്പിൻ ; അല്ലായ്കിൽ വൃക്ഷം ചീത്ത, ഫലവും ചീത്ത എന്നു വെപ്പിൻ ; ഫലം കൊണ്ടല്ലോ വൃക്ഷം അറിയുന്നതു.

³⁴സർപ്പസന്തതികളെ, നിങ്ങൾ ദുഷ്ടരായിരിക്കെ നല്ലതു സംസാരിപ്പാൻ എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും? ഹൃദയം നിറഞ്ഞു കവിയുന്നതിൽ നിന്നല്ലോ വായ് സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു.

³⁵നല്ല മനുഷ്യൻ തന്റെ നല്ല നിക്ഷേപത്തിൽനിന്നു നല്ലതു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടമനുഷ്യൻ ദുർന്നിക്ഷേപത്തിൽനിന്നു തീയതു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു.

³⁶എന്നാൽ മനുഷ്യർ പറയുന്ന ഏതു നിസ്സാരവാക്കിന്നും ന്യായവിധിദിവസത്തിൽ കണകൂ ബോധിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടിവരും എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

³⁷നിന്റെ വാക്കുകളാൽ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടുകയും നിന്റെ വാക്കുകളാൽ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും.”

²⁹“It shall be a statute to you forever: in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and shall do no kind of work, whether native-born or a stranger who lives as a foreigner among you;

³⁰for on this day shall atonement be made for you, to cleanse you. You shall be clean from all your sins before Yahweh.

³¹It is a Sabbath of solemn rest to you, and you shall afflict your souls. It is a statute forever.

³²The priest, who is anointed and who is consecrated to be priest in his father’s place, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen garments, even the holy garments.

³³Then he shall make atonement for the Holy Sanctuary; and he shall make atonement for the Tent of Meeting and for the altar; and he shall make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly.

³⁴“This shall be an everlasting statute for you, to make atonement for the children of Israel once in the year because of all their sins.”

²⁹ഇതു നിങ്ങൾക്കു എന്നേക്കുമുള്ള ചട്ടം ആയിരിക്കേണം; ഏഴാം മാസം പത്താം തിയ്യതി നിങ്ങൾ ആത്മതപനം ചെയ്യേണം; സ്വദേശിയും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ പാർക്കുംന്ന പരദേശിയും യാതൊരു വേലെയും ചെയ്യരുതു.

³³അവൻ വിശുദ്ധവസ്ത്രമായ പഞ്ഞിനൂൽവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിന്നു പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിക്കേണം; സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്നും യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നും പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിക്കേണം; പുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കും സഭയിലെ സകലജനത്തിന്നും വേണ്ടി പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിക്കേണം.

¹“Listen to this, you priests!

²The rebels are deep in slaughter,

³I know Ephraim,

⁴Their deeds won’t allow them to turn to their God,

⁵The pride of Israel testifies to his face.

¹⁵For the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity,

¹⁶For I will not contend forever, neither will I always be angry;

¹⁷I was angry because of the iniquity of his covetousness and struck him.

¹⁸I have seen his ways, and will heal him.

¹⁹I create the fruit of the lips:

¹⁹ഞാൻ അധരങ്ങളുടെ ഫലം സൃഷ്ടിക്കും; ദൂരസ്ഥന്നും സമീപസ്ഥന്നും സമാധാനം, സമാധാനം എന്നും ഞാൻ അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കും എന്നും യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു

³²The multitude of those who believed were of one heart and soul. Not one of them claimed that anything of the things which he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.

³³With great power, the apostles gave their testimony of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Great grace was on them all.

³⁴For neither was there among them any who lacked, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold,

³⁵and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and distribution was made to each, according as anyone had need.

³⁶Joses, who by the apostles was also called Barnabas (which is, being interpreted, Son of Encouragement), a Levite, a man of Cyprus by race,

³⁷having a field, sold it and brought the money and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

³²വിശ്വസിച്ചവരുടെ കൂട്ടം ഏകഹൃദയവും ഏകമനസ്സും ഉള്ളവരായിരുന്നു; തനിക്കുള്ളതു ഒന്നും സ്വന്തം എന്നു ആരും പറഞ്ഞില്ല;

¹¹Therefore remember that once you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “uncircumcision” by that which is called “circumcision” (in the flesh, made by hands),

¹²that you were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

¹³But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ.

¹⁴For he is our peace, who made both one, and broke down the middle wall of separation,

¹⁵having abolished in his flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace,

¹⁶and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, having killed the hostility through it.

¹⁷He came and preached peace to you who were far off and to those who were near.

¹⁸For through him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.

¹⁹So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God,

²⁰being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone;

²¹in whom the whole building, fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord;

²²in whom you also are built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.

¹¹ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ മുമ്പെ പ്രകൃതിയാൽ ജാതികളായിരുന്നു; ജഡത്തിൽ കയ്യാലുള്ള പരിച്ഛേദന ഏറ്റു പരിച്ഛേദനക്കാർ എന്നു പേരുള്ളവരാൽ അഗ്രചർമ്മക്കാർ എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു;

¹⁶ക്രൂശിന്മേൽവെച്ചു ശത്രുത്വം ഇല്ലാതാക്കി അതിനാൽ ഇരുപക്ഷത്തെയും ഏകശരീരത്തിൽ ദൈവത്തോടു നിരപ്പിപ്പാനും തന്നേ.

¹⁷അവൻ വന്നു ദൂരത്തായിരുന്ന നിങ്ങൾക്കു സമാധാനവും സമീപത്തുള്ളവർക്കും സമാധാനവും സുവിശേഷിച്ചു.

¹⁸അവൻ മുഖാന്തരം നമുക്കു ഇരുപക്ഷക്കാർക്കും ഏകാത്മാവിനാൽ പിതാവിങ്കലേക്കു പ്രവേശനം ഉണ്ടു.

²⁰ക്രിസ്തുയേശു തന്നേ മൂലക്കല്ലായിരിക്കെ നിങ്ങളെ അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും എന്ന അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിന്മേൽ പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു.

²¹അവനിൽ കെട്ടിടം മുഴുവനും യുക്തമായി ചേർന്നു കർത്താവിൽ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരമായി വളരുന്നു.

²²അവനിൽ നിങ്ങളെയും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നിവാസമാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ആത്മാവിനാൽ ഒന്നിച്ചു പണിതുവരുന്നു.

²⁰The multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.

²¹When his friends heard it, they went out to seize him; for they said, “He is insane.”

²²The scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebul,” and, “By the prince of the demons he casts out the demons.”

²³He summoned them and said to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan?

²⁴If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

²⁵If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

²⁶If Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he can’t stand, but has an end.

²⁷But no one can enter into the house of the strong man to plunder unless he first binds the strong man; then he will plunder his house.

²⁸“Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the descendants of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme;

²⁹but whoever may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation.”

³⁰—because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.”

²⁰അവൻ വീട്ടിൽ വന്നു; അവർക്കും ഭക്ഷണം കഴിപ്പാൻ പോലും വഹിയാതവണ്ണം പുരുഷാരം പിന്നെയും തിങ്ങി കൂടി വന്നു.

²¹അവന്റെ ചാർച്ചക്കാർ അതു കേട്ടു, അവന്നു ബുദ്ധിഭ്രമം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ പിടിപ്പാൻ വന്നു.

²²യെരൂശലേമിൽ നിന്നു വന്ന ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും: അവന്നു ബെയെത്സെബൂൽ ഉണ്ടു, ഭൂതങ്ങളുടെ തലവനെ കൊണ്ടു അവൻ ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

²³അവൻ അവരെ അടുക്കെ വിളിച്ചു ഉപമകളാൽ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: സാത്താന്നു സാത്താനെ എങ്ങനെ പുറത്താക്കുവാൻ കഴിയും?

²⁴ഒരു രാജ്യം തന്നിൽതന്നേ ഛിദ്രിച്ചു എങ്കിൽ ആ രാജ്യത്തിനു നിലനില്പാൻ കഴികയില്ല.

²⁵ഒരു വീടു തന്നിൽ തന്നേ ഛിദ്രിച്ചു എങ്കിൽ ആ വീട്ടിന്നു നിലനില്പാൻ കഴികയില്ല.

²⁶സാത്താൻ തന്നോടുതന്നേ എതിർത്തു ഛിദ്രിച്ചു എങകിൽ അവന്നു നിലനില്പാൻ കഴിവില്ല; അവന്റെ അവസാനം വന്നു.

²⁷ബലവാനെ പിടിച്ചുകെട്ടീട്ടല്ലാതെ അവന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ കടന്നു അവന്റെ കോപ്പു കവർന്നുകളവാൻ ആർക്കും കഴികയില്ല; പിടിച്ചു കെട്ടിയാൽ പിന്നെ അവന്റെ വീടു കവർച്ച ചെയ്യാം.

²⁸മനുഷ്യരോടു സകല പാപങ്ങളും അവർ ദുഷിച്ചു പറയുന്ന സകല ദൂഷണങ്ങളും ക്ഷമിക്കും;

²⁹പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിന്റെ നേരെ ദൂഷണം പയുന്നവനോ ഒരുനാളും ക്ഷമ കിട്ടാതെ നിത്യശിക്ഷെക്കു യോഗ്യനാകും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

³⁰അവന്നു ഒരു അശുദ്ധാത്മാവു ഉണ്ടു എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.
